I had the same response. I liked them back in the 90s when I was a student, but fell away. My husband kept up with them and we would occasionally listen in the car. But Deutschland brought me back full force!

the song was originally written as an entrance song for a boxer. Boxer is like the sun that never sets and the sun comes out of the fists and puts ice over the opponent's face. The idea of snow white is really cool
"Du riechst so gut (98)", "Rosenrot" and "Ich will" are amazing videos aswell ... but you shuld definitely check out their live performances of each song aswell for sure..
the behind the scenes for these videos are actually quite funny and insightful why certain choices were made.. i´d really recommend watching those!

This video is so hillarious, and what's even funnier is that it wasn't meant to be themed like this! Rammstein created this song as an order for a boxing figher, one of Kliczko brothers (still unclear for which one) as the entrance song - but he finally refused to use this, claiming it to be "too heavy". Then they finally had to do a brainstorm on what they can do with it 😉
I love this song for being extremely hard in the verse and so melodic and soft in the chorus - this contrast makes it quite unique, especially when Flake kicks in with this "woman's singing" (it's of course a synth sound).
You have reacted to a bunch of Rammstein videos and seem to like Till's voice. How about seeing the absolute best of their show openers, the "Rammlied"? A song so powerful, that pumped up the audience in Madison Square Garden to a total frenzy? 😃

This is not only one of their best videos, it's one of the best music videos ever. Pretty much ALL of their videos are on par with this as well. Ich Will is a top-notch cinematic experience, Rosenrot has a darker, indie-horror vibe and is severely underrated.
With the live stuff you pretty much can't go wrong, they do not disappoint.
I love how they are all fully committed to the art. I hate the fact that it has taken until now to see it. But I am more than happy to appreciate it now, rather than never.

U have to react to Rammstein - Mein Herz Brennt (Piano Version) tills voice is incerdible on it (the original version of the song is also great) they actualy have an official music video for each version theyre both amazing, maybe do a double reaction of both versions :D
they are well known for their live performances, in my opinion they should also be known as great music video artists. I could list many, but these are the most spectacular ones:

Great song and congrats on 10k subs guys! I love this video, but not only are the lives just so insane with their pyro and stage show, but I was always told Rammstein videos get blocked a lot, so to do the live versions, so that's all we ever did for a while, but they sure are amazing. Check out this live. I forget which show, but it's one of the more popular live versions of this song, so it should pop right up. The thumbnail has a lot of yellow in to. I think Deutschland was our first regular video. Everyone seems to have luck with that one. Lots of reactions to it. Maybe they're not as strict as they used to be as they learn more about reaction videos. I know when they found them, they made a playlist of their favorites. More Rammstein for sure! Love this band.

Rammstein seem like they're really getting the wider reception that was probably missed in the early '90s, especially in the United States, and I'm so happy about that. The guys, as you said, are real showmen on the stage and in their videos. They're also just super nice people who have had their share of major struggles and nasty conflicts that might have broken up other bands, and would have broken up Rammstein, particularly around the Mutter album, if it weren't for their dedication to their friendships and their shared goals. They all got therapy, individually and together. They changed the way they make music and make decisions about their music. They kind of regulate each other and chill each other out, and they can experiment with solo projects without ditching R+. To have a 6-man band high profile as this without any lineup changes or major hiatuses in their 30-some-odd years performing is totally wild to me, and makes me love their group dynamic and their sound even more. I'll be heartbroken when they eventually stop making music as R+, but just like with Rush, I think it will be totally well-earned and agreed-upon as best for everyone, fans and bandmembers alike.
Rammstein is a great band! So many good songs like: "ich will", Mein hertz brennt", "Du hast", "Radio",.... And the live versions are even better. Seen them a couple of times @ festivals and know counting down till 3rd august to see them live again. The frontman Till Lindeman also has a solo project, and last year the song "Ich hasse kinder" (i hate children) came out, with a (for some people) 'shocking' video. Definitely worth seeing😉 (official video and the short movie)

Great reaction thanks again. I remember seeing them live 12 years ago with this song at a festival and till had lights inside his mouth, everytime he opened it whilst singing, the sun was shining out of his mouth.

I totally agree with a double reaction of Mein Herz Brennt. The song is one of my favourite and the official video for the piano version shows off Till's awesome bass baritone as well as some of his more melodic singing and Flake's piano is the only instrument (he is classically trained) plus the theatrics. All aspects, which I am picking up, that you enjoy.

This is my favorite Rammstein song! A favorite bass from my childhood was Tony Joe White, most famous for his version of "Poke Salad Annie". I've found one of the biggest perks of growing old is how much music I've had the privilege to have heard.

@@ThunderRooster yeah, "aus" is out. the song was originally meant to be a stage song for a boxer, but his management decided it was too heavy or something, so they just repurposed and released it as their own song. the counting is meant to be the referee in the ring counting someone out (and parts of the rest of the lyrics will also make a bit more sense in relation to boxing)

Make Sure when you watch the LIVE version of SONNE it’s the 2010 version, NOT the 2017 version!! The piano is UBER clear and has a separate breakdown and the singing is superb. MUST view.

The singer from The 69 eyes has a deep vocal. But Rammstein is nr. 1 in singing. The singer Till Lindemann has also his project with Pain (this project is over) and on this album Skill in Pills and the last album Frau und Mann has also great Music. The Skill in Pills album is in English for example number Fish on.

Rammstein has very high quality videos, i think a cool thing to do would be watching: Ohne Dich, Keine Lust, Amerika and then after that check out Haifisch since it draws from their previous videos (including Sonne as well.)

If you're into metal in foreign language you should check out Metsatöll - Vaid Vaprust. For Rammstein songs without videos to listen by yourselves I recommend "asche zu asche" "mehr" "weit weig" "wollt ihr das bet in flammen sehen" "tier" "zwitter" "zerstören" "bück dich" "kokain" "hallelujah"......I could go on. Just listen to everything they have to offer. Haven't produced one single bad song to date!
It would be interesting for you to watch "Mein Herz brennt". There are 2 completely different versions. The official video and the official piano version. Both masterpieces. Which version would you prefer? Nobody did it before, watching both versions and compare!

fun fact: sonne was actually planned and produced to be the entrance theme for wladimir klitschko. but klitschko and his team didnt really like the song, thought it was not fitting and a bit too harsh and aggressive (which made him move over to can't stop from red hot chilli peppers) so within the desperation, rammstein had to come up with a different idea for the music video - as it was rumored to show highlights from klitschko fights and be a sport themed video - and thats where snow white and the 7 dwarves came in

Their live songs are just way better than the official music videos, and that says a lot because of how good the official music videos are.
Right, we figured that we would watch the videos, get familiar with the lyric translation; that way the live performance will hit harder. Not sure it needs to hit harder from everyone’s comments. But I just figured it would make the experience better.

So many great videos and life performances. You need some emotional stuff? Try "Frühling in Paris" , but that is for Rammstein professionals. Or need some action? What about life version of "Waidmanns heil" , my personal high at the moment.
Awesome Rammstein videos you guys would dig: Mein Land (absolutely hilarious and totally rocks, with Beach Boys/Baywatch parody) and Mein Teil (one of Rammstein's most heavy kick ass grooves - a real headbanger. SUPER creepy, about a real life story about a guy in Germany who put an ad out in classifieds for someone to eat his uhm...ahem...yes, like cannibal eat and yes...his THAT - mein teil means "my part"). Both videos are right up your alley if you loved Deutchland and Sonne. Although Rammstein's live videos are great I always recommend starting with their official non-live videos for the simple fact that all their videos are cinematic awesomeness.
Since you talked about Till Lindemann's soothing voice you will LOVE the acoustic-like song "Diamant"!
Maybe not for a reaction because the original isn't in RUclips (only covers and live performances) and its not one of the most popular ones I believe. But you did ask for a song that you can enjoy on your own, I really recommend that one. Thank me later :)
