Killing Floor 2: Hell on Earth Biolapse Solo Sharpshooter w/Patriarch

- Continuing from the previous solo, I finish up the last of the Cyber Revolt update for spring. I play the main event map Biolapse with the new DLC weapon for Sharpshooter the Compound Bow. A powerful, versatile weapon capable of tackling large zeds and trash bringing them down with ease. In this run I chose tactical reload for variety and because I wanted to showoff the speed of the Compound Bow in action without having to rely too much on the M14 needless to say, the weapon performs well with both skills but I still prefer Rack em' up for it's DPS and practicality.

The Compound Bow is a welcome addition to Sharpshooter. The bow can be finicky at first, but once you get the trajectory and timing right the weapon becomes rewarding and quite enjoyable to use. The Bow does require some skill to fire consistently with. It has 2 modes of fire. Standard arrows for piercing, and cryo arrows for freezing zeds in place. Both extremely useful in combat. The damage output is strong and excel's at dispatching large zeds. I only wish I had a better map to play it on since Biolapse isn't the best map for Sharpshooter. Perhaps the Compound Bow deserves a video of it's own.
If I were to summarize this map into one word it would be chaotic. Biolapse was a pretty difficult map to play. The map layouts are too cramped and the spawns are littered everywhere around every corner. You aren't save nowhere. You can't hold out for long forcing you to kite early on which can lead to some awkward engagements with the zeds. The map does not play well with certain perks. To put it simply it was not an enjoyable experience for me. All things considered, the maps aesthetics are neatly detailed for each area which make clever use of the maps assets.

He uses a crosshair built into his monitor, this game literally let's you shoot in a straight line from the hip with most weapons. This isn't all that impressive, I'd be impressed if he was doing this without a built in crosshair.

However the game thinks otherwise.
The aim is on his head, I hit him in the head. And the game counts it as a body shot cause his chest or arm was slightly to the right of his head.
This happens a LOT on bloats with meelee weapons.

I gotta tip my hat to you... I got this game last year and I've been playing the hell out of it but I've never seen someone make HoE look like a slice of cake on a platter. Love the content I'm gonna start binge watching gonna tell my buddy Austin too he's kinda been in a perk slump lately.

Haven't touched KF2 in a while, so the compound bow arrows travel faster than the original Xbow arrows it seems.
And can have freeze arrows as well. Pretty... *fair* right?

Thank you for making this on Killing Floor 2 I saw it came out for free on the epic games store and i didn't know if it was fun or not and seeing this now I know its definitely will be getting it thank you.
I think KF1's slower pace, stronger zeds, claustrophobia and the difficulty of movement particularly when clots swarm you is what made it a great survival horror game. All of it seems to be missing here. In KF1 the movement speed of enemies & you is so slow that once you get used to the slow pace, it becomes infinitely more intense once you get swarmed and have to make quick decisions.

Lol you're coping. Take off your nostalgia glasses and accept that the game is janky as hell. Stronger zeds? a sharpshooter can destroy an hoe fleshpound in kf1 with just a crossbow and the support can cheese the patriarch with pipe bombs and an aa-12

i have the same issue its because some people get too used to their hipfire sensitivity and it becomes harder to use the scope when it zooms too much

If there was a claustrophobic tunnel map, it could just be me and 2 others, shoulder-to-shoulder, running and gunning with the bows, and picking up the bolts as we go. Round and round in a loop.

Imagine making a zed with 1/4 the body HP of a FP but then almost 3/4 of his head HP to then spawn multiple of them when they are harder to kill than SC's which spawn in fewer numbers.
AND QPs have chance to spawn already raged while Scrakes can only be enrage via damage.
AND QPs move faster than Scrakes.
he killed the scrakes with one heashot when he crouches (with the "Stability" skill that adds 30% damage when crouch)
@@nosir8371 I don't think so. Firebug is extremely good at kiting (due to Heat Wave) and both Firebug and Demo can handle big groups of zeds, which could overun Commando and specially Sharpshooter. I think you can't compare them because their playstyle is different.
The only thing that I won't accept is saying that SWAT is better than Commando
@@nosir8371 nice point of view. You almost convinced me. But I think that the design purpose of the QPs is not to keep the Demo afloat. I think its purpose is to alter the game's pace, because while FPs are a powerhouse, they are slow when calm and they give a lot of opportunity for a team to coordinate a takedown (movement speed when calm is also the reason why Scrakes are the least scary of big zeds when you play on a competent team). QPs alter this 'big zed meta' by both being always running and spawning in greater numbers, meaning that keeping them calm is less effective than with FPs (running speed will allow them to close the distance and cause chaos, and multiple spawn means tanking hits is a bad idea).
Demo has the unique ability to handle groups of Pounds (both types) with the most ease out of the perks, but Gunslinger has probably the highest DPS output, and specially in ZedTime, Fan Fire can be devastating, while even Mad Bomber from Demo will struggle at dishing out that amount of damage.
I will maintain my point: Demo is neither better or worse, it's just part of a different playstyle

Agree with the compound bow and your opinion on the new map. Biolapse is horrid on pub 6-p HOE matches and it almost necessitates having a firebug on the team just to control the trash. Makes me wonder if TWI is trying to fit in that perk into the game's meta somehow. The new weapon and map seem to be Firebug centric but I enjoyed them so far nonetheless. Any thoughts on the new fire M16? Have you tried it yet?

First video I ever watched from you, you made me pick up the game and stick with it for a few months now, I’m just starting HoE runs and holy shit is it much more difficult than I anticipated, I thought it’d be fine since suicidal isn’t an issue at all but it’s not. I would LOVE it if you made some sort of guide on your thought processes during a run because according to the rest of the community solo HoE runs aren’t even supposed to be possible.

I just recently for killing floor 2 and I must say headshots while hip firing are very easy, I don’t think you need to try really when going for headshots so the FX don’t make much of a difference either
they might block a vision in some rare moments but the thing about those FX's is: you're forced to go for headshots if you want to see it working. So that's more of motivational item other than interfering
