- In this video I build Tamiya's venerable 1:35 Gepard Flakpanzer in 1:35 scale, straight from the box. As mentioned in the build, the correct colour for this vehicle is RAL6014 Yellow Olive. I used Hataka paint HTK-A193 from the Hataka Modern Australian Army AFV Paint Set for the green on the tank.

I should have mentioned in the video that I used Alclad Klear Kote Matte Varnish once all the decals were applied and had dried.
Great job on the kit. You are right, for its age, it has held up pretty well. I built this kit about 20 years ago and loved it.
It was really interesting watching this video after seeing your glue review, and seeing the various uses for each.
Glad you enjoyed it. :)
Great work. Always wanted this kit. Especially now, since they're in Ukraine with a 90% kill rate.
Nice build!
Ive built my first kit a few months ago (Tamiya Churchill 1/35) I was suprised how well that old kit went together. Anyway i built 2 more kits since then and ive got the Gepard and Challenger 1mk3 from Tamiya on order. Really like these Tamiya kits.
Tamiya kits are some of the best fitting kits out there and they have a reasonable parts count too. You'll certainly enjoy the Gerard as it's a nice build and looks great on the shelf when you are done. Welcome to the channel and the hobby! Dan
Hi Dan great to hear from you again, I have to say even Tamiya older kits are superior to some modern kits from other manufacturers and their new kits are brilliant. Best wishes Vic
G'day Vic. Good to hear from you and I couldn't agree more about your thoughts on Tamiya kits. Whats more, they are always fun to build, as the actual engineering of the parts is always so good. Dan
I had this back in 1977
Time for a revisit!
What tamiya paints should I use for this kit
Khaki Drab XF-51 is probably the best match from the Tamiya range. Dan
@@DansModelBench Ok good to know, thanks!
