www.antiguedad... - Beautiful antique Spanish His Master’s Voice gramophone-phonograph mod. No. 5, made in Spain circa 1920 and amazingly preserved. All the component parts and finishes are original from the time and so are the decals with the logo which can be appreciated in the horn and the box (except for the turntable felt). This is made of solid-mahogany wood in two shades, lighter and darker, with burl wooden side panels of a delicate golden color. The panels have a fine marquetry decoration symmetrical modernist-style motifs, stylish and in quite good condition. The French-polish finish is original and is well preserved, providing the wood with a warm glow inherent to it.
At the box we can see a plate with the original distributor, located in the Spanish city of Valladolid. Inside we find an engraved serial number, 330099, matching the one engraved in the metal arm. On the other hand, the ‘morning glory’ horn preserves the original vanilla-colored paint with a fine orange shade at the edge, the nerves and the base. Except for a small repair on the arm, it is in an almost impeccable condition, displaying all its great old-time beauty. The motor has been fine-tuned and greased to guarantee an optimal performance, so the owner can enjoy the nostalgic sound of ancient records with all its nuances and great clarity.

Realmente es un placer oír a el grandioso Benjamín Gigli a través de un dispositivo de la misma época en que grababa para ser reproducido en el mismo, en este caso, abril de 1934. Majestuoso. Así que si disponés de más 78 a su nombre sería un acto de servicialidad invalorable que los uses para próximas muestras. Ha sido una alegría enorme ver que has vuelto a subir videos, y de primerísima calidad.
