    I sold lemonade last month at a festival,the best time I ever had. Seeing the reaction on people's face was priceless and gratifying.

    I grew up doing native american powwows, and we sold fresh squeezed lemonade and shook them up in front of people, we made so much freakin money doint that, it just eclipsed everything else. I subscribed because I'm an artist and I need a side hustle, and I remembered the lines, all willing to spend like $5, (from the 80s on up) for a large cup of lemonade, AND nothing tastes better and cools you off faster in the summer.

    what size lemons do you use? I currently get 115ct cases. I was getting 160 ct but was having to use 3 halves to get a sufficient lemon flavor in a 32 ounce cup. I was using a one arm bandit manual squeezer at the time. I just got a wedger / pneumatic smasher combo and I think i may be able to use the smaller lemons with that one and have satisfying results. I've replaced my corporate paycheck this summer squeezing lemons at the farmer's market on Saturday mornings and a small monthly event downtown and I'm working on getting a pushcart built so i can set up anywhere.

    Im gonna get a permit to sell drinks on the corner and try ti make $100 on the side during the week. I need to get my truck fixed and it looks like a minimum $1000 investment because in texas, we need the 3 chamber sink commissary and the only prep will be washing and slicing the lemons. Most of the cost is the permits and the equipment for the sink and the llc and insurance just for a basic canopy and table stand and an a frame. Its gonna be october but its always hot here in texas until February then in March its hot again. lol
    I tried the recipe on line for your 32 ouncer, best lemonade I had in my life, im just worried about the seeds and the ratio with sugar free sweeteners like Splenda and Stevie.
    I was gonna do hot dogs but in texas there are so many food stands with so much Mexican inspired foods but its hot and the body will want actual water and vitamins and people are either in bad health or not drinking sweet drinks because of the straight sugar and will also want sugar free. I will scout my farmers markets and home depots and build myself up before a big event. But I'm gonna see waters and gatorade on the street until I get my truck fixed.

    What’s the best way to keep the fruit cold when using a table to sale lemonade?

      Rubbermaid containers. Put ice in the bigger one. Set the fruit in it in another container

    Mike, I am in the research phase of this business and hoping to jump in next year. I've been practicing making them for my hubby and me. My questions
    are probably a common ones and that is how do you get the sugar to dissolve. Maybe I'm not shaking it enough? And what about the lemon seeds?

    • @foodtofinancialfreedom8562
      @foodtofinancialfreedom8562  2 года назад

      The sugar will not totally dissolve. So just do your best with the shaking process . And the lemon seeds unfortunately, will always be a factor

      I dissolve 2:1 sugar into water and put it in a gallon jug with a 1 ounce pump. 2 pumps does fine for a 32 ounce cup, you can easily use more or less as necessary. Mixes in perfectly.

    Thanks for making these videos. Quick questions: Do you put 1 or 2 lemons in your 24 oz cups? I was a little unclear from this video. Also, about how much water do you use? I’m always hesitant to put too much ice instead of water. Thanks!

    • @foodtofinancialfreedom8562
      @foodtofinancialfreedom8562  2 года назад +1

      One. Yes, i noticed it sounded misleading after i downloaded it. And honestly that video took like 10 takes. So, i was done lol. But yes 1 lemon for 24-32 oz cups

      @@foodtofinancialfreedom8562 thank you so much for the quick reply and the clarification! Also, about how much water would you estimate that you put in a 24 ounce cup? I want to be sure the ice doesn’t dominate.
      Looking forward to trying your strawberry lemonade recipe! 🍓🍋
