    Some of the Partner and McCullough products are or was made in Nashville AR. I've been retired from there for a few years. All export products.

    I have a McCulloch eager beaver top handle that I bought brand new in 1984. It still runs like new. Yes a little basic maintenance along the way and a few chains but other than that it's still stock and running like a raped date.

    Mcculloch was an interesting guy. Married a Briggs&Stratton daughter in the later 50s I believe, sold 2 Black&Decker in early 70s I believe 72. Black&Decker sold it 2 Electrolux in early 80s.👍s🆙BigGuy!

      The Stihl dealer said that he has already ordered all of the Stihl machines he is allowed for the entire year. For whatever reason, Stihl has the worst shortage of all the brands.

    Americans love buying the same products with different company's names on them. Bringing McCulloch back to the states would be a extremely smart business decision. I can only speak for Americans but we are extremely brand loyal to a certain extent. I'm almost positive Stihl has the saws listed in categories from homeowner to farm and ranch to professional. but it is a pain flipping through and figuring out which or what that actually means .Same with Husqvarna though. like the price difference gets you. I always thought that Husqvarna was some cheap brand because they were somewhat cheaper. but not really the case. Its the reason why I did go with Husqvarna recently and now I'm not sure I would buy a Stihl until I got a couple of the Husqvarna saws, I want to get or I find one for super cheap used. For sure though if that professional 545 mark ii wasn't on sale on their website and the dealer, I went to didn't match the price I would have got the homeowner MS 251 CE. My brother has that one and my 545 is in another league. literally and figuratively. the word is it might not last as long though.

    I confirm partner sold for some years in Europe but now Is all McCulloch, the new ones arent nothing special basically poulan and "lesser" Husqvarna, they Also sell cheap lawnmowers, i happen to have a partner formula 400 from 2004, basically a wild thing 42cc, i discovered in the USA Is regarded as trash saw... Well i got mine 13 years ago for 70 euros and She Is going strong, no problems at all, i consider It no worse than a clamshell cheap model STIHL, consider our fuel doesnt contain ethanol and saws are not EPA castrated here

    • @novicelumberjack

      I'd wager that your saw is the same thing as the Poulan Pro 260. The 260 had two major upgrades over the Wild Thing. It had a chrome bore and a better carburetor. Watch out for my break-down video of Muffasa that I will be doing today.

    I don’t think that I would bring the the big “Mac” name brand for saws back here in the US. We are a fickle bunch of folks regarding our saws. If we get burned once we tend to learn from it. With Mac’s having such a good reputation, it’s almost like buying an imitation name brand anything, but people get REALLY tweaked when it comes to saws (at least I do).

    • @novicelumberjack
      @novicelumberjack  2 года назад +5

      Straight away, I have two images.
      2. An outfit of knights armor made of thick, tanned leather. Designed 100% to be used in sex acts. Right in the window of a shop. I took a picture of it.
      1. A sculpture of a woman's torso with her back showing, coming out of the wall of a building. Imagine that the torso is half imbeded into the wall and the only visible portion is the back side of the woman's torso. A nude torso. All fine and dandy, right? I'm just walking down the sidewalk, not paying attention to where I am going, talking with friends, the torso is at head level for me and I nearly knock my head on it a good one. This startles me, and I take note of the fine, taught little booty that I am now only inches away from. And upon further inspection, I notice that the woman's back side that is sticking out of the building right at my head, is actually making out with a man who's only thing you can see is his masculine arm that is reaching around the female's back side and has his finger pushed into the female's butthole. It's all just a plaster statue thingy that is halfway out into the sidewalk and I almost clocked my head a good one on it. We all had a laugh, noticed there were two of them, one on each side of the doorway of a sex shop. We went inside, looked around a bit, found it to be quite classy when compared to American smut.

    The cheap McCulloch are such dogs that its not even remotely funny. They have crank bearings that you can remove by hand from the crank and they have the seal around them its like a sock on the bearing so its kinda like having your crank on a soft mount.

    • @novicelumberjack
      @novicelumberjack  2 года назад

      Yes. You have just described the cheap Poulan saws. Do you not live in the US? Where do you live? So, I think I mentioned the Poulan Wild Thing saws. While some people really like them for there own reasons, they are truly cheap and designed just as you have described. I have seen our Poulan saws offered up in Europe and the UK as McCulloch and Partner saws. We sometimes like to build them for specific "cheap saw" racing classes. We have one coming up this October that I will be participating in.
