Road Song is the twentieth album by guitarist Wes Montgomery, released in 1968. It reached number one on the Billboard Jazz album chart and number 39 on the R&B chart. It also reached number 94 on the Billboard 200. It was his final recording before his death of a heart attack on June 15, 1968.
Years passed by, but stil fabulous!!! Yeah! I would die for this organ solo! Great!

WTF?!! BADAAAAASSSS!!!! This trio is off the hook! You guys are magic together. No joke. That drummer is chop city. I love how his solos are never extended, always in the groove. What a drummer. Love the single camera but damn, if I could just bump the camera to the left so I could see his hi-hat and get the guitarist to angle so I could see his hands. (Or maybe he doesn't want anyone stealing his licks?) Truly awesome. Thanks so much.

No. Don't misunderstand me. I LOVE just one camera, Excellent. Simple. I can see everything you are doing. It is awesome. I just wish we could see the guitarists hands a little more.

No, Santana got Wes vibes, not the reverse. This is a latin rhythm. Carlos didn't invent that. Do a little musical history research. You've correctly identified this as a latin rhythm though. You're on your way to filling in the blanks with your musical knowledge. Also, the guitar playing in this video is a true jazz player. Santana plays "at" jazz, but is not a jazz player. This player is a better player than Santana, but doesn't have the signature style that Santana has. This jazz player's fluidity on scales, and his use of chromatics separates him from Santana.
KenTeel I’m well aware of the fact this is a Latin rhythm. I’m a jazz guitarist. I’m talking on part of the organ. That’s where I’m feeling the Santana vibes. I’m well aware that Wes predates Santana, I’m just speaking my mind. I dont need you going on a rant about what’s “technically correct”. That organ isn’t in Wes’ recording and that’s what I’m pointing out. Chill dude, getting triggered over music.

KenTeel I’m well aware Santana is guitarist, but that organ solo reminded me of Oye Como Va. You’re actually getting triggered over a comment about music. (Btw, Carlos Santana is the guitarist, the group is called Santana though. Yes, he’s a solo guitarist, but everyone refers to the group as Santana). Go ahead and ruin somebody else’s innocent comment. I’m sure there’s plenty more fact checking you can do.
