@@HVACGUY I can only imagine, here in a few weeks I will be in one. I haven't decided yet if I'm sticking my 19-year-old in that one. Either way, I will get some video
I just worked on that exact same model unit this morning. Mine was horizontal in an attic. I don't like how that metal door cover (for the fuse block) falls down into the electrical compartment where the heater kit wiring is. 😎👍
You ought to try a kids sled to drag tools and blower housing under the house i swear its sweet i used mine today had to drag my torch and nitrogen tank all at once If I knew how I'd send you a picture of the sled get 61 try make it easy as possible
13:10 we have a new housing area nearby where people basically live right on top of each other. They spent almost a million dollars for the homes and hardly have any land or space between the homes. I don't understand it.
The only thing I would of done differently is I wouldn't of cut the ground wire on the new motor; I'd of hooked it up. Other than that, its a great video! Thanks for uploading it😊
A 3/4 hp blower motor is rare for an air handler. I keep a 1/2 hp standard blower motor, 1/3 HP condenser fan motor, and 1 HP Genteq (X13) blower motor in my van, and 99% of the time - I have what I need for any unit.
That's why I like living on the banks of the Hawkesbury river here in Australia 40 acres half a mile of river frontage and no one around me to be a pain in the ass me happy days.
*Always keep some 3/4 inch rubber hose with you so that you could cut it to size and put it around the wires when running it through that metal like that (without a grommet). If the holes are smaller, you can always slice the hose lengthwise and squeeze it through the hole.* *I cringe every time I see wire going through a hole without a grommet. I've had many service calls where wires were worn through from vibration, eroding the insulation, and ground out the unit/ tripping the breaker.* *As for the missing motor rubber vibration dampener, the right thing to do would have been at least go to the hardware store, get some gasket material, cut it up in squares, build it up to height, and drill a hole in the center, to ensure that vibration/hum isn't going to go through the duct/house from the bracket being in contact metal to metal.*
Hey great work as always on the videos! Enjoy watching you solve problems and learning myself 😀 Question about capacitor, got one at a rental that’s rusty so can’t tell the rating. What’s the best solution? I gonna definitely test the old one and get the next one up from current reading. It’s for the compressor, others separate capacitors, on older package unit. Thanks Jason
If you can still read off the compressor it should tell what size capacitor. If it’s a Copeland, and you can get numbers off of it, the app will help you.
Glad your back is feeling better, no way I would be having any fun under that house. good job Curtis. I noticed that unit looked like it had standing water in the bottom 4 inches? possible drain issues?
That sucker looks way older than 7 years to me. Grease dem rails with superlube, Curt. Works a peach. Keep a box of isolation dampers in the truck. They dry out and become useless when they get that hot anyway. Clean the wheel with foam before install, no?
Year 2014 and under the House. I can’t imagine the Moisture under the House even with the Vapor Barrier. Metal is going to Rust and things wear out Quicker. 🤔
The rubber bushing is on your bumper , in the middle , I saw it on the video .
My knees and back would kill me if I crawled under there like that. U da man!
Another great job, man those crawl spaces. At least that one had a good moisture barrier.
I don't envy your crawl spaces my friend. My knees are screaming. Here in Michigan mainly Basements. Good video!
This was a good one.

Always enjoy your videos. Never afraid to admit your mess ups. Bravo.
Enjoyed the vid, thanks! Checking amps with blower door off will give you a false reading.
You have a great work ethic!!
Great job Curtis

It looks like it’s gonna touch something
1st time I've seen you in a crawl space. Atleast its a nice one!
I always keep a couple old motor brackets on my truck from equipment we have replaced just in case something like that happens.

I bet Curtis has happy to get out from under that crawl space! Nice work as always.-
The rubber isolator is on your bumper under the weather seal.
Good eye. I was concerned when he said he was going to the supply house and had those pieces just lying about.
Yup. I was yelling at the video 😂😂😂
@chuckquinn8026 Me too!especially when he dropped the socket on the ground, dont know how he didnt see it? 😆
A new one should have been fitted if not found.
Nice work 👍👍
“Burnt Windings”..sounds a little like an album title..or maybe..a horror movie..lol..
Was that rubber stopper sitting on the bumper
Well, I see it now. But, didn’t at the time.
The only thing I would of done differently is I wouldn't of cut the ground wire on the new motor; I'd of hooked it up.

I wondered when you’d remember the blower screws. That crawl was a mutha.
Nice work as usual and switch ends on your boxcutter blade , seems a little dull Thx for sharing Curt ...

Those motor bracket insulators do like to disappear sometimes. I've made replacements using compressor feet that I salvaged.
Curtis, I found the missing grommet: on the bumper under the weatherstrip!
That's why I like living on the banks of the Hawkesbury river here in Australia 40 acres half a mile of river frontage and no one around me to be a pain in the ass me happy days.
Looked like that rubber thing you where looking for was on the bumper under the door gasket.
Good job

It sure looked like your bracket arms were still slightly loose the way you moved that one to get it to line up with a hole.
We are soldering in school tonight we're doing a boiler
Nice
At least the crawl space was organized
Could be her Cooking in the Kitchen. 🤔😬👍
"burning smell" lol, there had to be smoke coming out the vents and surprised it didn't set of smoke/fire alarms.
Guys need to learn to run the unistrut perpendicular, then bolt it parallel. It only takes 10 more minutes.
Need to spend the extra money and put full basements in
@@MarkJones-no2zf Or just spend a smaller fraction of money and make a 20 x 10 mechanical room. This attic, crawlspace, closet crap needs to end now.

Oh ok thanks for the help. Yes it Copeland 👍
Why did you remove the label!!! Should of just cable tied it up .
Curtis, what brand is your favorite to work on overall?
I see the missing gromet. Chassis and bumper in the middle.
I always forgot to ask, but finally remembered. Why don’t you use a headlamp?
Sometimes I do. I keep one in my bag
@@HVACGUYawesome! love your videos, keep up the great content!
You know a house is fancy when it has three condensers
Be a lot fancier if the equipment wasn’t located in a cave…lol..

I think I'd want to know where that red clay dust came from. You may have nailed it.

Are you an owner operator or do you work for a company ? Love your videos and your van. The wrap is amazing
Owner/Operator
In Tennessee code you can not mount a disconnect box on a unit or plenum box
👍👍😊😊

That styrofoam was there from when the unit was shipped, they never took it out..
u ever find venomous snakes 🐍 under houses
Looks as if its had 2" of water in it
You deserve a nice house. Maybee its time for a career change whare you can make a lot more money. lol
