A youth hailing from an ordinary family back ground without any previous knowledge of carnatic music rose to great heights to become doyen of saxophone .After him only saxophone came to light and enthused many musicians in carnatics to take to saxophone and made it popular. Always performance par excellence. Just like veenai S.Balachander who was marchless veenai player who also didn't have any formal training in veenai ,if i am right. Genius indeed !

But on hearing his recital I did believe that he will one day become a great musicianLater I had occasion to hear his recitals at various places. We have lost one of the best proponent of Saxophone.
