how do u get the pickups to pick up that sound. amd a electric/acoustic player. this works very well on acoustic, but I never hear it through the amp even on electric guitar
Also, if you percus hard, the pickup will vibrate, and that will make a sound output through the guitar. Connect guitar to amp, then try tapping the guitar pick against the pickguard right next to your selected pickup. You will hear the tap from the amp, you wont get silence..

I don’t think it’s a Tele. He plays a wide variety of guitars, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen him play a Tele.
