The Last Board Shaper - Foil Board Builder Robert Mulder

Foil boarding is a growing sport but very few of us know how or where the boards we ride are made. Board shapers have gone almost extinct over the last decade, unable to compete with prices from cheap labour production line operations overseas. Rob Mulder is one of the few board builders left in North America. He makes high quality wing foil and windfoil boards that have been riden by riders on the world cicuit as well as new riders learning the sport. In the video Rob shares how he's managed to survive all these years and what he things the future holds.

Rob is a legend, stoked to see him still going strong! Used to ride his boards back in the 90's.....they were the highest quality and worked great. His wing boards look insanely good.

Love that vid, I have 3 Robert's windsurf boards - 125, 145 and 150 Formula - those three are out and ready to go all spring, summer, and autumn. His bold ideas on these planks are different from the standard pack and when their hard edges jump up onto a plane it's the trill of a lifetime.
A Canadian Legend who deserves as much praise and attention as possible.
