Question: since it’s water based would you not apply over a waxed piece? I’m needing to dark wax as well. Thanks! ☺️

Hi! I wouldn’t unless the wax is water based. If you are using oil based wax I would recommend gilding wax instead. dixiebellepaint.com/gilding-wax/?aff=275
