- Are you having trouble getting ready to hit the ball because you feel like you're not ready? I'm going to explain why the unit turn is important and a simple way to make sure you're getting the perfect unit turn position for any groundstroke that you receive.

Those first 10 seconds, that's how I look like, especially when I play friends that hit hard and with topspin. Thanks for the video will work on the unit turn to get that coil to unload like the pros.
It can be tough in the beginning but once you learn the timing it's feel so much better and your result become consistent. Thanks for watching Omar.
@@TotalTennisDomination My pleasure.
Nice video with simple and clear explanation. Thank you! I have a question though: once I have taken the unit turn as soon as I spot the ball coming to forehand or backhand, how do i move to adjust my position to hit the ball at optimum distance? It would be great if you could show that in a video
This was a great video with clear instruction. Thank you, Coach Kevin! 🙏🎾
Love this video. Nice and simple and does a great job explaining how to do the unit turn👏👏
Great video, Coach! Very clear and quality instruction!
Great Video on a very important topic. That‘s one of the reasons why Roger looks relaxed and effortless. We can‘t be all Roger, but we can try to improve our own game. Thanks for the very good explanation. Best regards from Germany
Absolutely agree. Thanks Stephan
Helpful graphics. Thank you
Awesome! Thank you!
Thank you. Ive been trying to figure out how some players look so effortless and yet crush the ball
Very well done. Giving a visual of a handshake brillant. Thanks
I learned that from of my coaches and wanted to share.
Your intro is so great! Very Funny. It's me playing...
Congrats!!!
Great video. Will work on this. Can you do a video on first phrase of serve loading ? I am sure lot of people are gonna benefit . Thanks.
good preparation
You have such a nice technick
Wooow love how you explained this!!
Thanks Jeremy!
The unit turn! Yeah, baby, yeah!
Thanks
Kev, I coach the same way, and find it people do understand it better as breaking down movements and the why factor. Being humble I still say it , it's hard to find coaches who can coach, as many don't have coaching skills and also adventure themselves to copy the pros to try to look good but look worst than they can see.
Hello! Do you have any exercises to train racket drop and it's timing? When I pay attention to racket I drop it low enough (sometimes maybe too low). But as soon as I am distracted by other factors I begin to hit the ball into the net.
Hope my question gets answered. Is a perfect forehand swinging/throwing the racquet along the trajectory of the ball as long as possible while making sure that racquet face is perpendicular to the ground? Of course we decide the trajectory of the ball as the game situation demands!
Hahaha amazing teaching!
I started playing tennis at 18 it’s been 9 months and I like it so much how far do you think I can reach?
I'm new to tennis. The explanation of the "unit term" was great. I noticed that by holding the racquet up with both hands in front of me sort of at eye level, it forces me to do a better unit turn. However, I'm still not great (based on some backhand video) at following through the strokes, but I'll get there. Anyway, thanks, your explanations and metaphors are on point! IVAN from Phoenix, AZ.
unit turn
Awesome to hear Ivan. Keep up the good work!
I have a question, maybe i can be confused, but: when you explain the unit turn, you said that you need to separate the shoulders to the legs, like a coil. This is easy to see when you have a open stance, but, if you use a neutral stance, you will be uncoil a little. So, how de you achieve the unit turn in a neutral stance without miss the coiling on your body? (Sorry about my english, im a spanish speaker).
👍
My question is what if one has the habit of taking a step? It seems naturally that if you’re taking step, your body just moves towards ball. Same as backhand. I see you have open stance most of the time.
Man my 10 year old daughter is getting to nervous when she is on a match I feel that she is way better when she is on a regular match not to serious than on more serious match 🤕 and she start crying when leave the tennis court I feel like is too much treasure i don't want her to be a nervous person because off this what can I do 🥺🥺🥺
