    Fish Karahi
    Ingredients for Soaked Fish:
    Fish 1 ½ kg
    Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
    Salt 1 tsp
    Water as required
    Vinegar 2 tbsp
    Ingredients for Fish Karahi:
    Soaked fish
    Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
    Lemon juice 2 tbsp
    Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
    Red chili powder 1 tbsp + 1 ½ tbsp
    Salt 1 tsp + 1 tsp
    Oil (for deep frying) as required
    Oil 1/4 cup
    Ginger garlic (chopped) 3 tbsp
    Green chilies (chopped) 2 tbsp
    Cumin seeds 1 tsp
    Tomato (chopped) 1 ½ cup
    Red chili powder 1 ½ tbsp
    Coriander powder 1 tbsp
    Cumin seeds (crushed) 1 tbsp
    Black peppercorns crushed 1/2 tsp
    Hot water 1/4 cup
    Yogurt 1 cup
    Ginger (julienne) for garnishing
    Green chilies (Sliced) for garnishing
    Green coriander for garnishing
    Directions for Soaked Fish Preparation:
    1. In a bowl add fish, ginger garlic paste, salt, water, vinegar and soak for 10-15 mins. Wash it well before further use and pat dry.
    Directions for Fish Karahi Preparation:
    2. In a bowl add soaked fish, add ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, turmeric powder, 1 tbsp red chili powder, salt and marinate it well. Marinate the fish for 1 hour.
    3. In a pot heat oil and add marinated fish. Fry it for 1-2 mins. Set aside.
    4. In a pan heat oil and add ginger garlic, cumin seeds, green chilies and cook for a minute.
    5. Now add tomatoes and cook until tomatoes get soft. Add 1 ½ tbsp red chili powder, cumin seeds crushed, coriander seeds crushed, black peppercorns crushed, salt and cook until oil separates. Now add hot water and mix it well.
    6. Add yogurt and give it a good mix. Add Fried Fish and cook for 4-5 mins.
    7. Garnish with ginger, green chilies, green coriander and serve. Your Fish Karahi is ready.
    Prep time: 10-15 mins
    Cooking time: 30 mins
    Servings: 4-5
