Tears For Fears were huge in the 80's, everyone loved their hits. Next one from them you could check out is Head Over Heels, another great song.
And Pale Shelter. In fact the entire "The Hurting" album is brilliant.
Head Over Heels and Sowing the Seeds of Love and Mad World
I love the 80's British invasion upon America's airwaves! Nothing but good stuff and I am glad that I was a child of the 80's. Great reaction!
One of the most iconic songs of the decade.
'Shout' was one of their biggest hits, and I love how they sing it together and I enjoy Roland Orzabal's guitar solo at the end. When they do this song live in concert, it still gets everyone out of their seats! I suggest checking out their songs 'Head Over Heels' and 'Sowing the Seeds of Love' next. If you want to ever react to their new music that just came out last month, I also suggest 'The Tipping Point.'
I found a link of their 2019's version at a festival. Both Roland & Curt still have vocal skills

Sowing rhe seeds of love ,advice for the young at heart ,mad world, pale shelter, woman n chains, bad man's song ....so many masterful hits
My all time favourite album. Absolute masterpiece.
And I want to rule the World - I'm everyone 🙂
Dude do not say sorry for loving this song! It is so amazing!
I loved all these 80s hits in the 80s as a teenager, but i love them more now im in my 50s.
I was only 9 years old when this song came out, and its STILL high up on my list of favorites to this day. Glad you liked it!
They just released their first album in 17 years ("The Tipping Point"), a few weeks ago and it was their best charted album since 1989's The Seeds of Love. It debuted in the top 10 (#8) on Billboard 200 Album chart while also placing #1 on both Top Rock Album and Top Alternative Album charts. They have even more great and classic songs for you both to discover. Songs like Head over Heels, Woman in Chains, Sowing the Seeds of Love, Mad World, Badman's Song, etc.
just bought the tipping point last week.
I love the new album.
The new album is fantastic!!
Amazingly good album. I would rank it is right after Songs from the Big Chair and The Hurting, but even higher than The Seeds of Love. An incredible feat for a band to produce something this great so late in their career.
Every Wants To Rule The World is one of my favorite songs of all time and Tears For Fears is one of my favorite bands of all time. Fantastic, original band!!!
This is an 80's anthem. I was15 in 85 and rockin to this.
"advice for the young at heart" "change" "pale shelter" are all top ttf songs for me.
Tears for fears is a treasure, react more to them! Greetings from Brazil!! We luv'ya.
This was the MUST HAVE album in 1985! This, to us New Wavers/Rockers/Pop/Dance fans, was cutting edge music! The whole album is amazing!! Of course, 1985 was an amazing year for music. Some of the greats were: INXS "Listen Like Thieves", Bryan Ferry "Boys and Girls", Prince "Around the World in a Day", Sting's "Dream of the Blue Turtles", The Smiths "Meat is Murder", Rush "Power Windows" and many more! Great year for music!
I LOVED this band when I was young!!! Y’all bring back so many memories when you do the ‘80s. Good damn times!
You guys should watch "The "Wedding Singer". Its a 1998 Adam Sandler movie that takes place in the 80s. Everything in the movie is from the 80s from music, clothes, language, down to the bedroom sheets and posters is authentic. They really nailed it plus the humor.
Dark, heavy song. Love their instrumentation and use of electronica.
One of my Favorites, LOVE how they build you up for/to the GUITAR!
everybody with good working ears, loves tears for fears 😁. even rap or rock fans i know love them. they just have a sound. great reaction./ they had a LOT of hits in the 80s, 90s. "seeds of love" is a banger too.
I've always loved their voices, very unique!
This track takes you away to another place when you hear it. Its powerful and beatiful all at once.
Tears for fears ...sowing the seeds of love
This has definitely been in movies, commercials and everything. It's one of the top songs of the 80s.
Great reaction guys thanks! You were both really feelin this one..... Tears for Fears are a great English band that began in the 1980's and have produced some of the most iconic and original popular songs of our time.... loved it!
Awesome choice and reaction. Shout was when I first got into TFF and the album it was on I played to death at the time and ever since. A lifetime ago but it still works all these years later. They're not very prolific, but what they do put out is usually of a very high standard and fairly unique. Would definitely recommend 'Rivers Of Mercy' from their new album, very moving song and very relevant to the times we live in right now and this last few years.
"The Working Hour" is a good one from Tears For Fears.
The song my daughter at the time (1985) 1 year old shouted for every time we went by car 😜😎😂
I was in high school in 85, feels like yesterday. Beautiful Song
I’m an 80’s child, still ❤️ and listen to all these iconic songs and artists. Love your reactions ❤️🔥❤️🔥
Request- “Everybody Wants To Rule The World”
I loved hearing this again. One song I'd really enjoy seeing a reaction to is 'Gimme Sympathy (Official video)' by the band 'Metric'. The lead singer is Emily Haines, who wrote the song, is so charismatic!
The concert that became the live album and DVD "Tears for Fears Going to California" is my favorite. Perfect performance by the group and amazing Oleta Adams on vocals and piano. The entire concert is worth watching. They play all ther top hits.
Without any doubt one of the most iconic songs from the 80's. Good choice!!
Thank you very much!!
Another Tears for fears song to react is Head over Heals.
Regartds from Chile :-)
Busta Rhymes sampled in, I'm Talking to You. This song will never get old. It is one of the 80s best groups & songs.
You do have lovely taste. I’ve noticed how you are both finding some really magical favourites! How much fun is that! ❤️
You have great taste
Thank you!
Everybody loved Tears in the 80S 🧡☺
The band just recently got back together for the first time in almost 30 years.
They actually have been back as a duo since 2000 after being apart for 9 years. Released an album in 2004, toured ever since all over the world, and then released their latest album 3 weeks ago.
17 years
I feel you, Recklezz.....I've been waiting for someone to sample this song, especially the solo break in the middle5:09 . No one's done it yet.
Facts!🔥🔥
Kirk Franklin did. Listen 2 "Let It Go". It samples the chorus.
My favorite songs are "woman in chains" and "hear over heels".
Wow high praise indeed !!..there were sure some belting bands in the 80s.. Tears for Fears being one of them We were lucky in the UK at the time with many different sounds. Simple Minds, Depeche Mode, .OMD are a band that i think you might like as well. To be honest it's a bit like lucky dip with the 80s, whatever you pick there is a very good chance you will get a prize. Thanks for posting
In the 80,s this song was on t.v. all the time. Nice 👍🎶🎶
I loved TF back then and still my favorite now. They just put me in a good mood. They got so many good tubes.
Great band and though really big in the 80s, they remain underrated to this very day. Try Head Over Heals,, Mother Said and Sowing the Seeds of Love. They are unique, Enjoy! 🎵
Great to see youngsters appreciating a great 80s track.
Tears for Fears- Head over Heels
Also recommend you check out Peter Gabriel.. Peter Gabriel - in your eyes
Us two are on the same page! Ditto! 👌🏻😍
This was a huge hit more like an 'Anthem' they are still making music 40 years later 💯🌟👍🔥🌠✨️🌌
I was 15 when this came out and within a year or so this band was my favorite of the 80's and still is today.
Sooo many cool songs with different vibes and the closest song writers to creating songs with different tempos since the Beatles.
One of my favorite groups of the 80’s. So good. Everybody Wants to Rule the World is great, Mad world, Head Over Heels. Good reactions!
It’s a political and individual protest song. The message being… Think for yourself. We needed to question everything from government to parents to employers to clergy to EVERYONE, about everything. Don’t believe everything you are told. It was during the Cold War. These guys from UK used British Pop NuWave sound to a young generation who would demand change. Apparently, as years passed, tyranny has reared its ugly and we are back in the same place. Will this world ever learn??? I am old and watching the repeat of my parents mistakes.
This is a perfect song for cruising the car on a sunny day… ❤
Is Tears for Fears still relevant?
You betcha! First record in 17 years and they’re
still speaking to today’s issues. The whole album
is great.
Guys, great reaction! You said this song could be in a Rap format? Well, on their 1989 "Seeds of Love" tour, they added a Rap section to this song and it was DOPE! You can probably find the video of that on RUclips! Check out and search for, something like, "Tears for Fears, Shout live, 1989, California", because the concert video is filmed in California. Really cool!
When they invent time travel, EVERYONE is going back to the 80's. I know I will.
Back to back surefire banger songs in "Shout" and "Everyone Wants To Rule The World." Most acts struggle to follow up a big hit with another one, but they dropped two now classic songs in a row. Neither one was the first single either, which is even more amazing to me.
As a 1984 Grad, I’m all in the feels with the 80s music ❤️😊
My mom’s a 1984 grad too! Lol
an 80s anthem song.
I can understand why this song would be an eighties favorite, it's so iconic and also fully representative of the eighties sound. Another eighties recommendation from me would be Sylvester - Rock the Box.
Yep they were HUGE SO MANY MEMORIES listening to this my class of 89 now it’s 2022
Their new album, Tipping Point, is their first after 17 years. It's their best. An instant classic. It's magical.
Welp, they just released a new album. Get thee to their RUclips channel!. 😁
We all loved Tears for Fears. My mom used to get a kick out of that little girl's dance moves. The one who's jumping and spinning. I mean videos like this are part of our DNA for those of us who are a certain age. Mtv was on from the minute I got home from school until I went to bed. So these people are like family. In fact, when I was 13 my aunt told me I looked like Roland. No young girl wants to hear that she looks like a dude. It's true though. 😂
This is so 100% true. MTV was the sound/video track to our lives. The 1 video that could get my dad to stop & pay attention while walking through a room was Talking Heads 'Once in a Lifetime'. First it's just a weird as hell video to start with. But, for some reason that part in the video where dude's making a karate chopping motion with 1 hand, down his other arm seemed to particularly tickle him. Like he'd stop & wait for that part. 🤣
It's fun to watch someone listen to a song for the first time that I've known for probably 30 or 40 years now. They have a new and interesting prospective and pick up on things I've never picked up on before -very perceptive. This was a big hit and they did have a few others like "Mad World" and "Pale Shelter".
This song sent an important msg, in order to make my generation and the newer ones reflect upon our relationships with our parents, as follows: "They gave you life and in return you gave them hell.". This is so true that really made me rethink about my attitudes and appreciation to my parents.
Tears For Fears will be in Indy June 17... Check 'em out, they put on a great live show...
THIS MUST HAPPEN!!!!
We definitely will be there!
They just got back together and are out there singing again. Enjoy
Their brand new album The Tipping Point is also brilliant!!!
"Woman In Chains",is a very powerful song by them.
Earlier tracks like Pale Shelter, Mad World and Change are beauties too.
The drums are very hip hop for sure
“Head over heels” is a classic
Yes!! Do that one!!! 👏🏻❤️
the location for the outside shots is the jurassic coast of dorset south england about 60 miles south of tears for fears home city bath.the natural arch you can see behind them is made of limestone and called durdles door.there are castles near by so if you ever come to the uk you could have a selfie and tell your followers you visited a video location of the song you said was your fav 80's tune!🙂
A girlfriend was on a ferry ride shortly after this song came out and the song came on over the ferry's PA system. A bunch of little kids were all dancing around singing "Shout. Shout. Let it all out, These are the things we can do without."
Been a fan since the 80's, going to see them live in June!! Other great songs by them are Pale Shelter and Head Over Heels.
No one ever seems to mention woman in chains from these guys so i will.
I was 7 when mum my mum bought the cassette tape in '85...was so into Tears for Fears!
Music has changed a lot...
Miss it
Been one of my favourites since 85😎
Love this song & Tears For Fears in general
If you want to hear a song from them that gets you in a hypnotic groove, check out "Head Over Heels"
Love the guitar solo in this song
They were and still are so good. Legends
The 80's were full of ANGST. Punk and New WAVE scene starting.
Vespa gangs, Walk-mans, Vans, Trench-Coats and Dr. Martens RULED!!! 🤯
Now you gotta do the Disturbed cover of this song. Tear For Fears were in the studio when Disturbed were doing the final mix and were asked how they liked it and they said that the Disturbed version was a lot more of what they had in mind when they recorded it and actually said it was better than theirs...Pretty high acclaim I'd say.
I was going on a school trip to france when thumis came out. First time id becaway from my mum for that long. Remember ot well. It kept playing on the radio on the coach there. Lol. Meant a lot to me for thst and orher reasons. X missed mum, was scared to not have her, was worried about her, I knew she couldn't really afford it, plus I didn't quite fit in then like we do nowadays being mixed race. was a good trip in the end, mum was all good. Ans dad is a great dad now love them both. But I listened to this a lot on my 'Walkman cassette player/radio lol x
Mad World by Tears for Fears is a Must...👍🏼
Tears for Fears-Head over Heels
Yes!!! ☝🏻❤️👏🏻
I heard this song first like 3 years ago when I was 16 and I played it over 50 times and it always makes me smile brings a lot of excitement and hype
I hear ya ....one of my favorite 80s song...and that says a lot so many amazing 80s songs
Sowing the seeds & Woman in Chains are great by them too
Great freaking song!
I enjoy seeing reactions to 80s videos. Having lived through this time, I absolutely yearn for more. This song has a complex simplicity (if that makes sense). Outstanding writing and loads of talent. Seeing the younger generation appreciate it is awesome. I will be checking out more of your reactions.
They actually just released their first album in SEVENTEEN YEARS this past month! You need to listen to The Tipping Point off that album, it’s also reeeeealllly good.
Every Tears for Fears song has a surprising melodic start. Head Over Heels is def the third follow up for this one. If you want to hear some of their 90s stuff, that is diff. Do "Seeds of Love". It will blow your mind, trippy video. You can't deny that voice though.
There's no decade that can compete with the 70s and the 80s!!! 🤘🤘🤘🔝🔝🔝❤❤❤
I just love TFF's. My era of music!! You really MUST listen and react to their 1st big hit "Mad World" which was released in 1982... This song even inflenced a dance style in the UK back then and you will see Roland Orzabal grooving it in the video... The US artist Gary Jules Aguirre covered the song, albeit a slower version for the movie "Donny Darko". It also did well in the charts...
una de las mejores canciones del siglo 🎶
Tears for fears have it all..
They did pop music, soul, electronic, funk and absolute anthems...
Soundtrack to my youth in a way..
Hope you guys are doing ok reckless..🙏😎
80's Duran Duran Reflex, Rick Astley Never gonna give you up
!
Pls, pls.. you guys need to also check out Sowing The Seeds Of Love, Woman In Chains, Advice For The Young At Heart, and Start Of The Breakdown.
Another vote for “Head Over Heels” ❤️
❤️ ❤️ ❤️ 1980’s ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Those are family and friends of the band at the end in the studio of this video
Tears 4 Fears rockin them 80s earingz
