I can say the same, but I was raised in Brazil. Every day I wasn't feeling strong, Yann Tiersen songs were there to make me feel better.

I was in Baarn (The Netherladns) last weekend at Soestdijk Palace. It was a cold afternoon with cloudy sky. This man came up and started his performance with Porz Goret. It was an amazing experience. When I was sitting there I was shocked.... I have listened his music for many years and finally I had the chance to watch him on live.
This music somehow made me remember my childhood and watching my teenage life fall apart

I was improvising on the piano last night and came up with a melody I liked, but it sounded familiar. After thinking for a while, I realised it was Tempelhof. Yann Tiersen probably influences me more than any other composer.

Yann Tiersen, you are the reason that I fell in love with the piano. The first piece I learned was l'apres midi and from there I worked my way through a piano book collection of your work. My family loved hearing your beautiful pieces every day and I loved losing myself in the music. Now, I am living on my own and I haven't been able to touch a piano in over three months. I am craving it. Thank you for bringing joy to so many people. This, as always, is beautiful.

After following his music for so many years, I was finally able to see him live in Los Angeles. Words can’t describe how beautiful this was nor how it took me back to my childhood days. His music has brought me nothing but peace throughout my life, and his concert will always be something in my life I will always cherish.
This was on the radio when I was driving to work at 3:30 am this morning. Kinda gave me an energy boost even tho I had only slept for 3 hrs.
I've been in Montreal yesterday night (May-30th) for the Concert. It changed my life. I knew you were good, but not THAT good. You master all instruments you play, you have a vibrant Experimental tune, but with such a maturity in your sounds that for 1h45m i tottaly forgot who were I and where I was. Absolutely brillhant!
So glad that he came back to his piano pieces! I think this is where Yann truly shines..

I heard this song for the first time 2 years ago right after my first trip to Berlin. I found the song name so familiar that I looked it up and then I knew.

C’est incroyablement et remarquablement bien orchestré avec une mélodie au piano sublime et une harmonie parfaite avec (si j’entends bien au son de mes oreilles ??) tous ces sons d’instruments à cordes et de percussion, de voix humaines (enfants sur les plages Le prat - Pors cors & Arlan) et aussi, des sons propres à l’île d’Ouessant (bruit des girouettes au vent, de corne de brume, de goelands, le bruit de la mer sur les galets de la pointe de Pern, le bruit du cessna ! , la mer qui se déchaîne ..... peut être me manque t-il à ma balade où je m’évade grâce à votre musique le bruit du bourdonnement des abeilles noires et l’angélus du midi........! Dear Yann, Tempelhof for me is a unique spiritual connection.
