I bought one of these in Hawaii in 1952 and I still have it. its very dry but still in great shape. it still can be worn, but I have it hung on the wall. I think it will outlast me!!
LOL me, too. My first experience with a palm hat was back in 1957 - in Florida. I kept that hat until 1987 - and loved it. Now I find how to make one -- and don't trust myself with such a large knife. But ironic that now I live where there are palm trees - and no one here makes hats. Drats!
