The most expensive bottle i have bought was Glen Scotia 25. I bought it for my 25th birthday. It costs 500 euros now but when i bought it it was 300 and i got it for 250. Expensive but it was truly amazing.

I have the Johnnie Walker Blue Ghost and Rare Pytivach. It was 279. I also have the Middleton Very Rare that was the same price. Very good whiskies.

Thank you for the video. I really enjoy a good Irish Whiskey. I have a Bushmill 16, and have tried the Redbreast 21, which was so fruity. To bad they are so expensive. My most expensive bottle is a rum, Ron del Barrilito 5 Stars

Hi Bill, I am SO excited I got to see this review today! I'm actually invited to the launch event for these bottlings in Nuremberg, Germany tomorrow and am really looking forward to it. Master Blender Alex Thomas will be there, too, so hopefully there will be lots to learn 🤗
Thank you for this video, I really enjoyed it 💐

@@TheWhiskeyDictionary Thanks alot! I'm really looking forward to meeting her and try those bottlings. Have you ever been to a whisky fair? Somehow I doubt they're as common in the States as they are over here. 🤔

Yup! Whiskey events here are often held by larger liquor stores

I’m jealous, could only dream of buying the 30-year-old. The most expensive bottle I’ve ever bought was at a silent auction for charity, Amorik 14yr for AU$400 but it did come with a Glen cairn glass

Most expensive, if you don't count shipping costs, but I got Signet around 170 bucks in 2021. Since then I got Bardstown Founders Cask and a single barrel Kilchoman (Fred Minnick pick) around the same price. Plus or minus 10 from there. I can't remember. Otherwise I rarely spend or have spent over 100 on a bottle.

Right around 12:33 you get to watch a man fall in love.
Bill: "I'm sorry, honey, I have to leave you, I've found someone else."
    Bill's wife: "What?! But...who?!"
    Bill: "Bushmill's 30 year-old."

  • @eviltrain24

I don't fully know how I should honestly feel about those prices. There is a store near me that buys their own barrel picks from Scotland every year and I can expect NAS~30yr age statements from them for between $40 to $400 bucks.
Having that knowledge and expectation... I have to think that Bushmill's is looking at the hype/FOMO portion of the current whiskey buying public with $$$$ in their eyes. The older whisky gets, the more expensive they get but the price accelerates WAAAY faster than the age statement. That truism has gone into hyperdrive in the last couple years.

Thats why I had such a hard time straight recommending either of these. How does one recommend a whiskey worth over two grand?

I must say, too many peeps are transfixed on whisk(e)ys - as drinks ; I say, explore - for the same price range, one can get a 50yo COgnac or Armagnac, or a 50 yo RUM (El Dorad, Appleton... you will NEVER come back! )

To be honest i expected more after delicious 16yo( my faviurite). This 16yo i have bought on tour u 2010 for £43. It was w time. Nothing to compare with todays bottlings. Hope you enjoyed these two. 😁🥂🙋🏻‍♂️

To many whiskeys are becoming to expensive for the average person to try because a purchase of a bottle is way over priced. Looking for alternatives and drinking less because of the price increases. Both of these are over priced and because of this out of the reach of most of your viewers
