- Switch from Intel to Nvidia! If you have a laptop or other computer using 2 graphics card this is the tutorial for you. When Intel graphics is included some games and software run using it, but if you have a dedicated stronger Nvidia or AMD card you want to make sure windows uses that instead, this is how.

My Nvidia 1050 had been playing up and running things like Scp at 7 frames but now that I've changed these settings it's now back up to a capped 80

@@andrewmathew3254 in the left bottom corner, open the search option and search for device manager. You'll get a list with all kinds of possible devices, look for display adapters. It should say what you have right there.

I didnt really get the last part since for me, all it said in the power selection was "Extended battery life for gaming" "Enable" "Disable" My default was enable so idk if it would be the best... Beside that, great video! Things run way smoother now, and I could finally feel that I'm using what I paid for from the graphics card hahaa. Thanks!
I wanted to play rise of tomb raider on my laptop with have an Intel hd graphics and a Nvidia graphics card.My game was not able to run because it was running on Intel but because of you i am now playing it in high settings.

i didn't need this tutorial, but a watch this anyway because i found it interesting how you can change water or not certain programs will use your graphic card or your cpu's integrated graphics. and i thought if you had a graphics card you would only use that for processing video/graphics

Thank you so much! I recently got a gaming laptop, and then I got Path of Exile. When I opened up the in-game settings, it said the game was running the Intel Graphics, and then it didn't let me change the graphics, saying that I needed to change the GPU to the designated one. Now, I won't have problems with my games in the future because of this awesome tutorial! By the way, I love the Swedish accent. Thank you once again!

Hi everyone i have recently wanted to start pc gaming so decided to build my own pc.
My components are
Mobo- asus q87m-e micro atx
Cpu- i5 4690k
Ram-8gb corsair vengence ddr3 1600
Gpu- evga gtx 970 4gb
Psu- atx 550w
So at first i had everything apart from the graphics card so i built all that and the pc worked which i was over the moon about,but when my gpu came yesterday i realised my psu dosnt have 2 6pin power cables for it so i went and brought the adapter from 8pin to 6+2 x 2 soi then installed my pgu into my motherboard and connecting the power cables to it. Once i had done this the pc would power up but no display on my monitor so i turned off the pc and tryed again this time watching the gpu one of the fans spins for about 5 seconds then stops the other fan was stuttering, so i turned it all off and removed the gpu and connected my vga cable into my mobo and it booted up and worked fine wirhout the gpu installed.
If someone coule help me i would really appreciate.

Tysm! My friend recently got a laptop with a supposed GTX 1650. But when he started playing his games he was getting terrible performance because it was for some reason running on his Radeon Vega 10 integrated graphics. I spent about an hour trying to fix the stupid problem by trying to fiddle with the display and device manager. Until I found this video, and literally fixed the entire problem! Thank you again so much for finding a solution! Helped a lot!

This is so weird that you are explaining me what to do on a swedish computer in english, and i am doing it on my polish computer.
There is a GPU Settings under Stettings on Windows 10. Open it-select an application and select GPU. It's super simple.

Try to update your GPU drivers from the nvidia website or the software, both are the same. Hope it works

Intel is cpu go check your pc specs to see whats your cpu is so you can download that right drivers lol

I've just reinstalled all my drivers and changed every setting you show on the video. On top of the I'm right clicking my games and selecting "run with high performance GPU" but my fps is still low. Any ideas of what to do?

Just bought Lenovo Legion Y720 with GTX 1060 6Gb. Pre-installed Win10 Home + drivers + Lenovo programs. I just can't understand why they even install drivers for the integrated Intel HD Graphics 630 when this have 1060 already?! Intel graphics just interfere with video operations making many operations laggy or not working at all. You can uninstall Intel graphics from Control Panel > System > Display > Show Adapter settings OR in Device Manager > Display Adapters. I prefer a clean reinstall of Windows and then you install only the latest NVIDIA/AMD graphic drivers for your card and if Windows installs it's own generic Intel graphic drivers anyway you just disable it as I described. In desktop machines everything is simpler.

i have done every step possible to switch to my Nvidia graphics card, and i've installed all drivers necessary, yet CSGO still runs at 30 FPS and on the intel website it says my Nvidia graphics card is offline. please help, i've literally been trying to fix this for days now
