  • We captured the sinking moments of a vessel we purposefully scuttled. We rigged sink cameras to capture the underwater descending moments and sea floor impact. Some of the noises heard during the vessels decent are implosions sounds.

Just like an old car, you can totally an old car just by a small collision, even if it's still perfectly drivable and safe, the cost of the repair could be more than what the car is worth. Yes, if the hull was in good shape, cool, but if it blew a motor or had electrical issues, would it be worth it? Could also be a paperwork issue, you could have a perfect pristine car, but if you have a junk title, nothing you can do. Obviously, my experience is automotive, but I'd imagine it'd carry over with things like that.

@@jacobhargiss9909 I knew you’ll mention the titanic if you were to respond back haha. But the reason why the titanic is rapidly vanishing is because it was actually broken in half and had minor explosions. But if a ship were to sink on its own with no serious damage, it could survive pretty damn long. Also, the temperature, and other elements could come into play as well to speed up or slow down. If you look up the famous dokos shipwreck, it’ll make you wonder how could that shipwreck survive and the titanic couldn’t. Dokos is believed to be around 2000-2500 BC. Now that’s Fuking long considering the material they had back then. :)

This is totally insane to sink a boat instead of dismantling to recover the metal !!!!😮😮😮😮😮

Whenever I see these kinds of videos I always think about how these ships/boats were once the newest and most advanced watercraft of their time and now they’re just scrap metal floating around waiting to sink or get scrapped

In this case the vessel starts a new beginning as marine life habitat and continues to live on.

How far below water was the boat when it sank all the way?

The sea floor was 90 feet below.

I wonder how long would take for the ocean to completely disintegrate the steel. If I'm not mistaken, the Titanic sank 110 years ago and seems to be in good shape.

It depends on environmental factors. The Titanic is more protected in a few ways. It coastal areas water is warmer and the effects of weather forces are present.

Wait, is that actually how long it took to sink, or was it sped up?

    • @UWPICVID

probably took about an hour once sink valves were opened

Who went down with it? You surely found the original captain or at least a first mate to be sunk properly?! You can’t just sink a boat without a offering?!
