This was the first video I watched as a new crocheter and I thought it was the hardest thing ever! Almost 2 years laters and I’m making these like crazy!
I love your videos! You do such a good job of explaining each step and everything you make turns out looking great. Can't wait to try this one. I will add to below comments that the sound isn't great - I have to turn my computer volume all the way up to hear you.
Just made one of these for my sister for Christmas. Your design is beautiful and tutorial was extremely helpful!! This was the very first crochet project I've ever finished lol. I agree the volume could be louder but since this video is older I'm guessing future videos are louder :) Thanks for this video!!!
Love this! Your tutorial is wonderful, easy to follow and love that you show exactly what stitch you are going into, that is extremely helpful. Cant wait for more tutorials from you. Jessica
Thank you for the video tutorial and the pattern! I learned to crochet earlier today, and I just finished this cozy! I tagged you on IG (with credit of course)
Your a great teacher, very a well explained and easy to follow turorial....Many thanks and I hope these fit are Tim Hortons coffee cups in Canada.....LOL Thank you again....Pat
I love this video it’s the best easiest coffee cozy I’m not sure if I would rather have the seem in the back if I do I would chain 2 and start a new row is that right tnx ❤️
thank you for this tutorial! im just struggling a bit as it kept getting looser towards the end making it too big for the cup yet the start is perfect?
I couldn't hear what size hook you used. I'm guessing 5mm or 5.5 would work? I've been crocheting for a couple years now but never made a cozy. Thank you for the video!! ❤
The sound on this video is very quiet, but other than that it was extremely helpful. This was my second ever crochet project and I love how it turned out. Thanks for the video!
for half double crochet, if you want to end the round. slip stitch into the last stitch and just chain one to start the next row. I would put a stitch marker in the first stitch of every round to make sure you connect to the stitch and not the chain if you are first starting out or have trouble reading the different parts of a stitch. :D
So I’m making gift for my friends and I’m using the reusable Starbucks cups but they are currently in the mail and I need the gift done sooner than I thought so are the chains based off of a Starbucks cup
When you crochet in the round, your stitches shift. If you skip to minute 6:45 you'll see where the starting tail is in relation to the stitch marker. It's actually a big difference! Using a stitch marker helps me visually, so I don't have to count my stitches (makes projects more mindless). Not necessary though if you don't find it useful! Happy crocheting to you!
I appreciate these so very much but there is an echo, as I am sure you are using the mic on your device. I would suggest using a mic to make sure it's clear and not echoey ...word I made up. But thank you! I can't wait to get started on my cozy!
Thank you so much for the video! As a crochet beginner it's very easy to follow. I feel a bit dumb asking this but what's the point of the button? Is it just an aesthetic addition? I've seen several patterns like this and I'm confused lol
I've never touched a coffee cup, but I was asked to make one of these. I followed your instructions exactly. Is it supposed to be big enough that you can slide it over your wrist and all the way up to your shoulder? It's bigger than my large mcdonalds cup sitting on my desk!

@@JustBeCrafty I used a 5.5 mm Hook, and for some reason, the spaces in mine look much bigger than yours. Should I use a smaller Hook, or should I Crochet fewer foundation chains?
Hi Sammi! Hmm... it sounds like you might be adding stitches to your round. Each round should have the same amount of stitches. You should end up having 26 stitches each round.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! It’s so simple and easy to follow!

So in love with this. Just finished my 1st one in time for a birthday gift.
Thank you for this tutorial! I had a lot of extra worsted weight yarn and I just finished making about 20 of these for presents! I love them! 😍
What size is the crochet hook? And what color is the vanna yarn? I'm ordering online and I really like the color here. Thank you so much

I made this today! Thanks for the tutorial!
Yay!! I'm glad it was helpful for you!! ❤️
This is the laziest, potentially quickest cozy because of the half-double crochet loops. HDC. I'm on it. THANKS.
Great job! I have had trouble crocheting and mostly use a loom you made it very easy to follow along. Thank you
Yay! I'm so happy this was helpful for you! Happy crocheting! :)
It is looking good coming out good after you are done with the yarn

I am wondering myself. I think 27 would be too many?
These are cute but how much can one charge for one?
What’s the hook size? I can’t tell if you said it or not.
The audio cuts out right as she's saying the hook size. I just use an I hook and they turn out great.
I used a G hook using worsted. Turned out fine.
Great video! How wide is the cozy?
Hi, what is the need for stitch markers? Don’t you just keep going until you reach desired height?
It's so you know when to end.
Ruth Ann Klos I used my starting hanging string to remind me where the beginning is and counted the Round didn’t need a marker
@@donnaberrios7571 exactly.

What size hook?
Do you think these would look right would with the double crochet stitch only?
It would be slightly more airy as each stitch will be "taller"

What's the size of the needle? I keep rewinding it, but I'm not getting the exact size
Think she said 8mm
5.25
Love the video but maybe need to turn the volume up just thought I’d let you know.
Thanks so much! This ones an old video that I really want to redo. My newer videos have updated equipment and are much easier to hear! 😊
Hi can I use this video to share in my facebook crochet group Lacey crafter?
Which size hook? Editing cut it out…thanks!
She is using 5.5mm.
What size hook please. 😊
5.50 hook
Doesn’t the hanging string from the beginning tell you where the last stitch is so you don’t need to put the stitch marker

What stitch/pattern called? Examples: the star stitch pattern, the basket weave pattern, the spider stitch pattern, etc.
Aysha Afzal it's all half doubles. Doesn't have a fancy stitch name
what weight yarn did you use and what size hook?
huch embroidery
+Julie Porter worsted weight acrylic yarn

how many chains i have to do if i have a 4.00 hook??

Can you make it a bigger size
Delaney Nicole Of course! Chain as much as you need, and add as many rows/layers.
The audio cuts out. I can't make out what size hook you have.
5.5 mm hook

But, thanks
I couldn't hear the hook size
Instructions say 5.5 mm.
I was just wondering if you don’t use the clip would it make the cozy cup a bit larger?
this was great visual but the sound was awful could barely hear a thing, Luckily I was able to do this just by watching...
+Clytie Martin Thanks for the feedback! I will notify my sound production team on this issue.
:)
I found that 27 is too much. I chained 22.

For some reason my cozy started to flare out like a hat. I followed exactly, or so I thought. idk what happened.
