Nba live has more realistic looking courts than 2k, better dribbling and shooting mechanics. Better walking/running mechanics which make the pace of play more accurate to the real nba. The jumpshots have a better feel than 2k18s too. NBA Live also has better on ball d mechanics. And better crowd atmosphere/arena sounds. NBA 2k has better rebounding, more fluid animations, better player models/faces, better commentary, more responsive passing controls, better screen play mechanics. More signature moves.

In Nba 2k18 based off the prelude there is no way you can dribble between your legs without doing the size up dribble, which is a canned animation. 2ksports said no more canned animations, but I don't think they know what the term canned means. It means that the animation is not user controlled, every crossover and every between the leg cross is user controlled in NBA live, it is not an animation that is triggered and then you wait to watch it play out.

2k and Live improved this year. Live has truly surprised me. The physics system is better than 2k's and they players possess weight! The game is overall more organic feeling and unpredictable man! Graphics are damn good and they will continue to update throughout the year! This game is back in a big way fellas! Keep your excellent content coming. I subbed!!!!!
Live is definitely looking improved. Not at 2ks level overall, but absolutely better. There are some things in Live that I'd love it see in 2k. Especially crowd reactions. The body types feel more authentic in Live as well, they look doughy in 2k. Looking at the videos of 2k18 makes me feel like it's more of a 2k17.5 version.

I preordered so I can get the game for $40. Just hope EA has a day 1 patch for the game or have a more refined retail version that cleans up a few nuances the demo has. If the EA devs continue to support this title they might be on to something.

I watched the first few min and turned it of after seeing every shot within in 12 feet goes in..noticed it on the demo too..just cuz your close doesnt mean the shots going in..heavily contested hook shot from julius randle looked ridiculous
I don't see how people play on these broadcast style cameras, they make both games look so bad in my opinion. Baseline or Baseline High is how Live is meant to be played/viewed.

I couldn't even finish the video.. the commentary is cringe worthy.. im aware of the mike brien and van gundy addition, which has potential but it sounds like NBA Live 2007 or something.. no side notes.. no individualized stories on specific players.. the graphics are pretty good and the mechanics are much improved but the gameplay makes me feel like i should put a chuckie cheese token in my Xbox.. i also read an article that you can't edit rosters in this game.. can't confirm if that is true or not, but if so they've already lost.. also read somewhere that there was no online "quick match". i find that hard to believe, but if so then you can expect ea to take another year or two off after this shit flops.. i just don't understand how you go from a classic like live 2004 & 2005, and regress to this.. this game won't be $60 long.. trust me

Looks like a typically bad NBA Live title. Seriously, it’s hard to take this serious when 2K not just beats it in almost every aspect, but literally destroys it. Those no look passes that snap to the receiving player looks so unnatural. Same when the ball leaves their hand when shooting.
