Last Remote has always been my favorite track from Subterranean Animism, so it was inevitable it'd make an appearance in this batch of uploads.
But my bias aside, there's just something about Last Remote that fits absurdly well with trumpets, or perhaps brass instruments in general.
The track is tense and uncertain, accentuated by a flittering piano and a plethora of low and heavy strings. Then 2:45 hits, and suddenly there comes a blast of majesty and triumph, and even then it's anything but relaxed.
It definitely lends to the 'true final boss' atmosphere you'd expect from an Extra stage.
