- Here’s a Tres Cubano lesson with an amazing modern Tres player named Adolfo ‘Fito’ Florian that my friend and Tres brother José Mejia recorded a month or so ago in Cuba.
Back in the fall I had the great pleasure of personally converting José’s Baby Taylor into a Tres. In February he brought it down to Havana in search of Tres players to learn from. The Flute player from the group ‘Manolito Simonet y su Trabuco’ recommended Fito. Currently Fito plays with the group ‘Asere’.
In the video Fito is tuned to GBE (Pancho Amat Tuning) like the top three strings of a guitar.

Yup, doing well. Recently returned from the Caribbean with the family so we’re self isolating. All good though.
How are things on your end?
@@TresCubano things are getting a little worse over here. We're almost at 300 daily dead and rising. I work in a hospital so no chance of self isolation for me but I'm washing hands constantly and following the 2 meter rule at all times. We're just going to have to all do our best to get through this and hopefully come out the other side wiser and better prepared for the future. Stay well 👍

looks like the middle string (c) is tuned up a half step.
