This small bit of the song is such a tease. How I wish Andrews and Goulet had done the complete number. I realize that this version was within the context of a large medley or Lerner and Loewe songs - but wouldn't it have been great to see them do the entire routine?
But -as far as I know- that was a number she never performed with Goulet on stage. It was Burton’s part: What Do The Simple Folk Do? (From: "Camelot", 1961) - Julie Andrews, Richard Burton (Also: I take little snippets over nothing any day.)
@@TheJulieAndrewsArchive Yeah, I know. What was so cool about the idea of them doing the song togther is that it was Goulet's first attempt at role swapping in Camelot. . I hear Goulet was terrific as Arthur in a revival of Camelot that had a brief run on Broadway,
I think her sitting on his lap ;-) and singing a slow high note was very cheeky of her and the director. They did it by purpose to show what simple folk may be doing.
Oh, dear this was lovely

You’re funny, and thank you! (I try to aim for around 17:00/ 18:00 Berlin (CEST) time.)
The Julie Andrews Archive I only tell the truth I have clinical anxiety and depression and Julie is the ONLY a thing that helps me
How great is it that Julie can help you deal with it?
(For me it was Star Trek TNG. Some million years ago, anyway.)
