Slimes spawn below Y=40 in slime chunks (and on the surface in swamp biomes).
The reason you aren't seeing them in this world is presumably because it has the ground at a far higher y level than the default superflat presets.
Which doesn't make sense to me because I made this map myself as a preset and slimes still spawned on the surface.

its been 2 years but for anyone else who needs this; if you merge the enchanted books before adding them to a sword/armor/etc., it will cost much less. you can look it up about the wild calculations the anvil goes through to give you your xp cost, but merging books before merging to the item WILL make it calculate much, much less expensively. difference, even, between a bit of exp, and the “Too Expensive!” limit.

You could do it by playing the ps3 or Xbox 360 version of Minecraft and it would let you change the layers in a super flat world I’m a veteran
@@reyarambula yeah I remember this too, I bet you could make this world on an Xbox emulator with a minecraft file, then convert the world to java. I'd want to fly around a lot first to generate a large world.

something you might find very useful is a texture pack that shows you which blocks mobs can spawn on
you can find one pretty easily

Little trick, if you hold your looting sword in your offhand and bow the mob, it still applys the looting.
It also works with tridents, crossbows and even harming potions

1 armor peice of the specific protection types (Fire prot, projectile prot, blast prot) will give the same bonus as a full set of that protection type
Meaning 1 peice of that protection type with the rest as regular prot 4 is much better for getting a set type of resistance
This is the same for mixing 1 of every maxed protection type

BUT since 1.14 is not possible to mishmash all protection types and other things
you should try to do it in creative it will not work
