My wife divorced me when my daughter had turned 3. I made it a point to stay in her life, and to attend all the school events. At her first Father/Daughter dance, this was the song that was played as the slow dance. As I held her up in my arms and danced, she looked at me and whispered, "Daddy, why are you r eyes wet ?" I will NEVER forget that moment ......and she is still the only person that can make Daddy's eyes get wet.
I tell everybody who asks, “Best job I ever had…..”. I volunteered to be the chaperone at her 8th grade dance next month because I know it’s the last time I’ll see her at one of these functions. Too damn fast…..
I'm a 61 year old granny and lost my precious Mother 12 years ago. Let them cry, let them giggle, let them sleep in the middle. I loved taking my Sweet Mom on vacation. And yes I loved sleeping snuggled up next to my Momma. Miss and Love You Momma 😍😘💗
They played this during my grandson's kindergarten graduation yesterday, and I don't believe there was a dry eye in the house. God bless the little ones; they are our future. :)
As before school assistant teacher and assistant teacher in daycare before and starting Monday they are so sweet and kind it's amazing seeing them grow up
I had never heart this song till my sweet grandson's preschool graduation when they played the video of the past year. I think I cried more than his mommy.
My sister-in-law is a kindergarten teacher and she does a video ever year and uses this song. I used to cry before I even had kids. I can only imagine what I'll be like when my little graduates kindergarten. He started Preschool now. He had his first session Friday. He is non-verbal autistic. We are so proud of the progress he has made so far
This song came out when my kids were little. They're not so little now, but this song still brings tears to my eyes and it is one of my favorite Billy Dean songs - and a big reason that I'm jealous that my mother got a selfie with him this weekend!!
I'm a single mom and I listen to this song to remind myself of how special right now is. It's easy to be exhausted and overwhelmed but having little ones really is so special and it goes by so fast. 😭

I lost my sister I'm 2016. She still had her whole life ahead of her 😔 I listen to songs that make me cry about her all the time. Sometimes we just need a good cry ❤️ My condolences to you and your family 🙏 ✨️
Today is ny sons 20th birthday, the day we came home from the hospital this was on the radio as soon as we turned it on. Love him so much, but I miss him being little ❤
I grew up with this song and always loved it, but now being a mom it's even more special to me. My daughter is 2 and will be almost 3 when her brother is born. I'm struggling with how fast time is passing. I love my babies so much and I wish I could hold on to these days a little longer.
Thank you for this wonderful song. It is so true. My children were little yesterday and now they all have children of their own. I even have great grandchildren now that are eleven. Time rushes by.
10 years ago life was perfect for me I lost everything 4 years ago and it was my home my life my mom and dad divorced and I wish I had what I wanted back I just wish things were perfect when I first heard this I elementary I cried so much
This song reminds me of my two girls. One is now 28 and the youngest is 22. If i could only go back to when they were little. Id never let them grow up! 😢❤
This is my song to my kids sang this to my oldest who is going to be 13 and I look at her and cry every time it’s on. All I see is my babys growing in a blink of a eye.
My oldest daughter just turned 24, my son 20, my youngest daughter 16.... Where, oh where did the time go! Trust when I tell you! It has gone so fast! Only yesterday my son was running through the church naked.... Durning church, holding himself yelling he had to go to the bathroom! I was on stage playing bass his mom was sitting in a pew, and I could have crawled under the stage... But such a great memory now.
Im the oldest of my other 8 siblings. I've watched lots of first birthdays, first Christmas's and first days of school. Watching them grow up is bitter sweet.
My daughter just turned 13 3 days ago. My has the time flown by. I never regretted all the time i spent with her. 2 days after her birthday, I was looking at a Hello kitty box she has with different things from bracelets, pony tail holders, lip gloss, etc and then i see two pictures. One is of her doing these online math races her school would compete in and how small she was. She had to be in second or third grade. And another was her sitting on Santa's lap at age 7. It sure doesn't seem like it's been nearly 6 years ago since that picture was took. I have a box with her baby stuff and a garbage bag filled with her things she made in preschool and kindergarten. Some things have her itty bitty hand print on them. I can guarantee if I looked at it now,my eyes will be filled with tears. I am so proud of the young lady she has become.
They played this at my daughters kindergarten graduation. She just graduated from high school this past school year. The years go by so fast. This song still makes me cry
I love most of his music, but this song and "If there hadn't been you" are very special to me. Not long ago one of my Drs. was telling me of his new son and his concerns about parenting so I sent him this song and now he says it's special for him as well!
I taught school for over 30 years! My motto to kids were, please don't try to grow up so fast! Only young for such a short time, and adult for years and years! Enjoy life now, have fun , laugh and be young!
Bittersweet song, reminds me of my niece and nephew when they were little, now she will be fifteen this coming Saturday and my nephew turned sixteen back in October. This was made when they were babies, time does seem to go by fast, sometimes we wish they stayed little a little while longer.
I ran upon this video/song tonight & now I’m in tears again!! I miss my babies being babies!! Why do our babies have to grow up anyways!! I never thought at times I’d be saying I missed them being little! Ha! But, man tonight I truly miss my little boys!!💙💙💙
Billy Dean, I still remember when you debuted this song while my husband and I were at a Kenny Rogers and Friends concert. It made me cry then and still does every single solitary time I hear it. I have been a Girl Scout leader for the past 24 years and I've used this song for ceremonies for all 4 of my troops. Bless you and these precious words.
Today was my patient's school prekindergarten class graduation day which they played this song with a slide show and I loved it so much, I couldn't hold my tears thinking about my kids when they were little. Thank you for sharing, God bless you all. 🙏💗🙂
Last year, my father lay dying from prostate cancer just across the room from me where I sat with him all day and night for about a month and a half. The cancer had spread to his brain and began to take his mind. He got to where he could barely speak and often made little to zero sense when he did. My father was my lifelong hero and always very sharp witted so needless to say this crushed me. Which is why I will never forget the afternoon, 3 days before he passed, that out of nowhere, he began to sing this song, clear as day. These lyrics were the last words he spoke. I have 3 children of my own, and I know he was telling me something when he sang this. I miss him so much and I love and hate this song.
I watched this when I was a teenager. Now I’m a mom of a 4 year old son and I understand it so much more. I thought of myself before. All I think about is my beautiful baby boy. They grow too fast 😢
I dance with my 16 month old to this song. Baby girl mom loves you. An i want you to enjoy being little. Mom will always do her best so you enjoy every minute baby... love u more than anything...
This song remains me of my baby girl when she was born and now she's all grown up and is having one her own and I hope she remembers to let them be little
Such were the times of great lyrics that a video helped to tell a story of depth. I sure hope that we are at the 270 degree mark of full circle and not the 90 degree when song, artist and visuals come together in such simple perfection!
My daughter is 8 months pregnant with her first child. The first thing I ever told her was don't blink, they grow up so much faster then you can imagine. Let them be little and soak in every minute... .
Hi po idol musta po kau dyan Woooow nice music and nice introduction, i love this song so beautiful song thanks for sharing this wonderful song, keep vlogging and we will happy to view your next video
His voice & the group Lonestar's voice are so similar! Love them both so much! I sang with Billy Dean on tv way back in 1995. I sang "I Miss Billy The Kid" along with Billy. Then I saw they put my clip on the news & I was mortified lol! 😆
My mom and dad told me and brother he seems like only yesterday you were born and I turn around and you almost grow up when we was little our mom and dad thought we not grow up fast when you got kids enjoy letting them be little
My wife mamma loved this song every time it played she would cry and my wife and her brother asked her why she crying at that song she its true cause i remember when you were a baby abd i turn around snd your grown up she said you grown up too fast sge passed away when my wife was 14years old
I remember when I was in kindergarten and they made a video of our class with this song I still have it until this day I love this video and always will and I will always cherish the video from our class I love you 💜💜 I am crying again

In kindergarten we had a video from our class and this song was in it. I thought it would take forever to grow up but here I am and it feels like yesterday I was a little baby
I love this song, experiencing the joy at the anticipation of a new niece or nephew being born this summer, but also some sorrow as the older ones are moving off on their own, and they no longer need me as much as they used to.
My 5 year old son’s kindergarten teacher posted this song today in their assignments. We had snow today and yesterday. The first time in about 2 years. The teacher said our second zoom video for class is canceled for today in exchange that the kids play outside in the snow. After we played in the snow I came inside and we watched this video link that she had put up. Happy tears. Oh boy isn’t it true. Some times you need to just simply enjoy the moments that you have with your kids. Thank you Ms. Loveland. I cried a little while watching the video. I couldn’t help think of my other sons. One is 17. The time just flew. Please take the time to enjoy your children.❤️😘👨👩👧👦
Thanks to my sons teachers putting this song on with all their pictures through the year at his graduation had me crying. (happy tears that I said I wasnt going to do then this song broke me haha) x
I'm pregnant with my 1st blessing. I just got bellybuds for my birthday and I'm playing this song for her. I'm playing her every songs I can think of about parents and their kids to let her know how I much I love her.
