Thank you for bringing this to light, many people only see this when they have to observe family law in action. Sadly children are the losers and are often pawns in the corruption.

Monique Dietvorst should be regarded by Canadians as a national treasure. The Petersons are a national treasure. I know "national treasure" is very corny. Maybe I mean something else, like some other term. But I'm so happy to hear this podcast.

the raw natural feminine maternal tenacity of Ms Dietvorst is refreshing, and so beautifu to behold... a real 'mama bear' any man would be thrilled to coparent with, if she were to make space to have family of her own... such a lovely lady !! as a discarded broken man (one day at a time) with a 7 year history of alienation from my now young adult sons, and homeless the whole time... I Love Ms Dietvorst... I Love knowing somebody like her exists... and God bless & be with her !! she may well be the Cabrini of this age !!

This is exactly what happened to my husband. 18 months after he and his ex wife separated (and up to this point it was a fairly peaceful separation) and she wanted a certain financial settlement she took out a domestic violence order that included the children. She then used it as a tool of control to limit him having any involvement in his children’s lives. When he met me and we got engaged the children cut off all contact with him. It has devastated him and I totally believe it will damage his children emotionally and mentally.
Thank you for the work you are doing to protect children ❤

The profit motive for sure is something that needs to be exposed. The mental health of everyone in the family dynamic does need to be considered. The court system cares not for the family. This woman is doing an amazing amount of work, I will have to do more research and bring some of her work to California. 😅I can imagine how this information will be received. Thank you Tammy for another amazing interview.

This happened to me and my sister in a very vile way. In effect, our mother was done away with, emotionally and mentally. We were instructed to stop calling our mother Mom until we were left feeling motherless. So much more was involved...I am 62 and it still is difficult, especially when my mother died suddenly a few years ago.

As a family, we faced exactly this phenomenon of a child trying to control the adults. We tried to work it out, but we ended up having to do tough love and let our child go. Eventually, she came to the realization that our stance wasn't so bad and we mended fences.

I'd love to hear more about subtle alianation tactics that alianators use. I have a friend that has been alianated and he doesn't even realize it. He has no confidence that he is actually capable of having custody of his daughter. He can see his daughter but is strongly encouraged to go to Moms house. Daughter is uneasy about spending time at Dad's house. When daughter visits Dad's house Mom calls frequently and asks how she is doing ect...putting doubts in the daughters mind in my opinion.

Wow well I’m glad I listened.
My daughter who is now in her early 50s had five children with a narcissistic personality sociopathic type guy.
What you were describing is the opposite of what happened to us.
He was the one not the woman.
She loved those children and still does, and raised them by herself.
The youngest is a senior in high school graduating.
The father doesn’t help the father is not a good guy at all.
The mom, instead of getting a 9-5 job and putting the kids in daycare…
My daughter has raised all of them, wanting them to have the best they can in life!
I’m sorry that the opposite has occurred, but this is from the other viewpoint and it’s pretty terrible.
So remember it doesn’t always play out how you think…
You should interview my daughter because she’s the one who cares.

Overall I enjoyed the conversation. But I have a question about a comment near the end. What male spaces have women encroached on that would justify men using women's bathrooms/changerooms and competing in women's sports? (Men's sports have been around for ages. Not so much women's sports.) I agree that there needs to be some spaces/organizations where it's just for men, just as they're needed for women. I think most level-headed women want men to have their own spaces . . . and stay out of women's private areas.

Most fathers are willing to move on without much contact. What are the statistics that reflect the biological attributions of men abandoning the family in the last 200 years?
Here in the US we have a mandated app so that visitation with the Dad is not dropping them off at his Mom's, sisters, etc. while he does whatever.
This became because of need. I lived with my Dad during the summer but he couldn't get me to the bus stop as he had to be to work so early. I get the reversal.
But that's not the majority. And the number of children taken away by the mothers I knew in a battered shelter because they had legal aid and the fathers had the money for better was unbelievable. This year, my grandson's biological father was released from prison after 9 years and demanded a relationship. Needless to say it didn't go well and put my grandson at a very emotionally abusive situation. Thank God he was old enough to record the abuse as the bio father's last stand was appeal under Articles of the Constitution., (what?).
Get the stats. Domestic violence stats. These cases should be taken individually.
A biological child is not property. 100 years ago, if a woman sought divorce, the children were the property of the father. This kept women in it.
Seems there's too much residual effect. You are negating the biological makeup of fathers and the often financial advantage.

Where do you have the stats that men will move on with no contact? I have lots of stats of men's suicide rates from the discrimination and hateful attitudes you profess in this comment.
