Ten years of hard work, gigging when you're just kids, writing incredible songs, getting stuck inside during covid when you want to be out touring. Then, one day, after all that hard work you get to play back in your hometown to a sold out show and the crowd knows your lyrics and sings along with you. They cheer you on. They chant your name. This is the best, incredible, human story to come along in generations...and its unfolding before our eyes and we're better for it.

Bit over the top😂. Its a generic band🤷🏿♂️, the music is very generic. Sounds lovely is all, but nothing new or groundbreaking, not even close.
I lost my wife 3 years, 8 months and 8 days ago to cancer, and I cry too every time I hear her play and sing this song. A great song and a heart breaker. Love this band, I wish my wife was here to see and enjoy how the young ladies have matured and mastered their craft as musicians.

I wish I could upvote this a million times. What a beautiful, gentle soul Dany is, all three of these beautiful, charismatic, extremely talented sisters have captured my heart and my soul as well. All of their songs have meaning and emotion, but this, this brought me to tears.
I've watched a couple of videos of this performance and have cried every time so far. Her ability to connect with an audience is just amazing.
This is, for what I can gather, the very first song she wrote.
Reminds me of Dany Day midnight lives, but the live crowd sing along is such a touching addition. We've seen Dany get emotional, and now she's on stage in front of thousands baring her soul. She's brave, caring, talented...an open book with open arms and letting us all in.

What is the full story behind this song? She was homesick?
@@sharaniramesh8665 They were on the Ellen DeGeneres show and played and ellen gave them $10000 a piece to go to Boston school of music.
While Daniella was in school she got home sick and she had to write a song for her class and it was about being homesick, Now she had her family with her, Mom and dad Alejandra and Paulina but she was still homcheck from her home in Mexico and her friends.
That's really about all I know.
That is so weird I can relate my family went on A vacation in Florida and I was probably 10 or 12 and I got very homesick.

I've only learned about The Warning less than two months ago, but as far as I can tell, they are refreshingly authentic and sincere artists with a ton of talent. That's not common in the music industry. I'm looking forward to seeing what these girls can accomplish.

This song since I first heard it was special...it was the live Teatro CDMX performance...made me tear up a bit...then I heard the studio version from XX1CB and could hear all the words clearly...still tears and then this solo performance broke me...the emotion Dany has playing it, damn. Such an amazing song and knowing it's genesis of how it came to be...simply incredible.

Even if something similar happened in Guadalajara, I think this time was super special for the band. Monterrey is their hometown, receiving the support from your own hometown should be awesome. In my own experience ( I am not from Monterrey), The people of that city have a great sense of pride and enthusiasm for the things that are from there. The pride and enthusiasm for The Warning is totally justified.

Aquí en Monterrey ha existido y sigue existiendo una gran escena de rock no solo en español sino también en ingles, hay festivales que se llenan para ver grupos de rock, antros y bares de música rock, estaciones de radio exclusives de rock, eventos y conciertos de rock que se llenan incluso han salido muchas de bandas de rock de aquí (incluyendo a the warning) y si bien se escucha mucho lo regional, grupero... el rock tiene una grandísima audiencia en Monterrey y en lo eventos en donde se ha presentado the warning en Mty siempre ha ido gente a verlas y apoyarlas@@batallasdeshorts4149

It was during his studies at Berklee.
They were given the task of creating a song when the girls were already 6 weeks (approx) away from home. Nostalgia was already beginning to "weigh" them.
This especially affected Dany, who did not feel (emotionally, I add) inspired and/or willing to write.
Dany explains it, more words, less words, like this; "I felt that no one understood that I work differently, that I am inspired differently. And seeing that there was one day left to deliver the work, the desperation of not having anything written, and that no one understood...This is how it was born "When I'm Alone!"

An emotional song deserves a poetic appraisal of its gestation. A member of The Warning Army beat my rather dry effort at the back story.
He posted: "Picture yourself at 15, struggling to find your muse and away from home, your friends, and your culture. You find yourself riding a meteor...because your cover of Enter Sandman that you just wanted to share with family, went viral while you were away on a cruise. Though you had a dream to play music you never expected you'd get invited to be on the Ellen Show and with her help you now find yourself at the prestigious Berklee College of Music. Now, here you are, on a deadline to deliver an original song for a homework assignment that you've had days to complete and it's been a struggle. What comes next? Pure magic. I think it's a perfect rock song. If Dany ever had doubts about her talent at such a tender age I hope this song put that to rest and her muse got with the program - because Dany, Pau and Ale are destined to be legendary."
My take was: A 15 year old Dany was feeling homesick towards the end of their 6 weeks stint at Berklees in summer of 2015. On top of that she had a new song to submit the following day as part of homework. And she had nothing ready; not even in the mood to create anything. Totally down but not out Dany composed When I'm Alone through that night. The reason this song is so special to her.

No, she spells the nickname Dany. That's on her Instagram tag. And any time anyone from the band spells it out they use a Y. Seems to be the same with their mom. Her name is Monica but her nickname is Mony.
@@ESCGelfling Yeah that's right but because American fans were spelling it with a "y" as in "Danny" in English. Her first language is Spanish so it would be "Dani" before being famous. But you can't fight the fans. To me and other Spanish speakers its "Dani" as the fans here in this video in there home town Monterey are saying "Dani." By the way "Ale" is not "Allie" or "Ollie." And "Pau" is not "Pow." In Europe the fans didn't have a problem with there names or nicknames because Europeans are bi and tri-lingual. American fans should try a little harder and pronounce The Warning names with a Spanish letter accent. It will get you closer to them.
