It is so intimidating hearing Hulky lean into the role of the Inquisitor. Having listened to Rotgrind and Warhams, and watched him in Hunter the Parenting, I've got used to him being a more light hearted if genuine character. But this? This reminds me of his chilling performance as Lorgar in Oculus Imperia's Calth series, and it. Is. GLORIOUS. The menace OOOZES from him with every syllable, the knowledge that the power of the Imperium is ever at the tips of his fingers, and he just has to wait for the right...circumstances, to exercise it.
Circumstances which Odoroshi duly provides. Odoroshi is incredible with her voice acting in any way and I LOVE her disgusted shock and anger at the big reveal, her almost bored drawl evaporating in an instant.
As for Zoran...Zoran can give such life to seemingly simple characters. Roos' childlike Ogryn attitude is a good contrast to those moments where he is the smartest man in the group. You wonder just how much is going on in his head, and he's doing pretty well!
And Speaker...oh Speaker D. You always give the most brilliant speeches, damn it. As Pi Braine, Vect, Big D, Tannhauser, and now Alden, and so many others besides, your vocal performance dominates the scene, an opera blasting the scenery away.
All strung together by Thurston's brilliant, and occasionally malevolent storytelling. This episode is great. (Sorry if it sounds generic, I don't know how to say it without spoiling everything)
Addendum: The spaceship/Hotshot volley gun debate had me in stitches, especially with everyone losing it

I've had similar arguments with players in TT campaigns AND some MMOs. Its funny because its real. "I could had taken this incredibly useful ability, but I took this other one instead because it makes me look cooler". Which is fine if your party is creative enough.
In the game I'm in right now, the Druid is mad he hardly gets to do anything during a fight besides wild shape. And the DM gave him like 3 opportunities to change class or sub-class. But he keeps turning it down, because lorewise, his character has to be a certain way, and he doesn't want to retcon it. Meanwhile, my Artificer ends up as the party healer, pumping out healing potions like a brewery, and I still find time to make him work like a living cartoon character.
Do not forget Zoran's essential role as "the guy that occasionally makes creepy baby noises"
I legitimately lost my shit laughing at Lion el John Deere. Because the imperium sending some poor bastard into battle with some busted up armored tractor is exactly what they would do.
If it is good enough for the Genestealer Cult, it is good enough for a PDF.

That said, the investigation rolls were clutch and the interrogation scene was superb. Yeah, I am definitely loving the series, so far! 👍

I'm not well versed in 40k, love what little lore and games I've played of it yet listening to their rp is gold and makes the game tempting to try.
You know that picture of that goth girl smiling while driving a tractor/harvester? Someone needs to draw that with either Khelrana or Roos.
Here's an interesting thing for complications why not have one where for the entire day your dice only rolls a 1 or a 20.
another is that the player suddenly has is being talked to by Chuckles the clown as he's not trying to establish himself as the next Chaos god.
Another is for the day you have to sing everything you say.
We need a Debt collector cameo. Randomly saving the crew later on in full operation and in perfect condition.
The captian is now a ratling who always keeps his power sword close, treats pyskers fairly, always keeps the medbay stock and clean, and is always seen with his copy of Zediquette
This is so fucking good.
I love the whole dynamic of the group, and the natural comedy that results from the players having both sharp wit and capitalizing on roll results to be creative.
But by far my favorite character thing is how Khelrana is an Eldar, who are supposedly super sophisticated and haughty, but she has chosen the voice of an underhive ganger 😂 It's such a tiny thing but it totally stands out as a unique take in the best possible way.
Also, Lion El John Deere is going to live in my head rent-free until I drop dead. Thank you.

A) Cadia was probably based on Canada because we are terrible little warcrime makers when at war.
B) I would buy a Canadia Stands T-Shirt maybe.
This might also be fun. You suddenly see face to face an old girl friend from krieg which you recognize even though she's wearing the same gas mask every krieg soldier wears. And she's as depressing as ever.
I don't know the first thing about Warhammer but these guys are captivating enough that I don't care.

2:18:10 the average human or corpse would weigh 150 to 200 lbs, and the head would be at most 10 lbs. just make it to where 15 to 20 heads count as a body with the 15 if they have helmets on or are larger then human sized creatures.
I know this has nothing to do with the episode, but the players will keep track of 20 heads per slot and you don't have to work by weight rules for the gentle repose bag

Hey, anyone with a greater understanding of the deeper lore of Rotgrind, can you clear something up for me? What is the deal with the limitations on the expansion of Outset? I know that the continent used to be used as a battleground for the Fundamentals, and that some time after that the six gods said "Okay, mortals, you can live here in Outset, but you can't build beyond these borders," and I know that there was a previous civilization that built Outset that vanished like the Roanoke colonists. But I also know that people live elsewhere on the continent, and there are other cultures on other continents that as far as I know don't have similar limitations, so what exactly is going on? Do we have a reason for the limitations? Like is it a condition of a treaty that keeps the Fundamentals from fighting on Tyne or what?
