    This kit is definitely a classic, and still holds up alongside the latest offerings. Your dad did an excellent job on this!
    Not long ago, I was at the local hobby shop, and I saw a couple of kids around 13 looking at a F-4 Phantom kit, and talking about it with the same sense of awe that my friends and I would use when speaking of the P-51 Mustang or F4U Corsair when we were that age.
    I'm a lifelong St. Louisan, and I've always lived within ten miles of Lambert Airport and the McDonnell-Douglass (now Boeing) campus where these planes were built. To me, the Phantom II is the quintessential American Cold War aircraft. Thanks for sharing this!

      Thank you! Dad got to see the Phantom up close since he worked on them and really enjoyed and appreciated them. I haven't counted them yet, but I bet he has around 10 built Phantoms of various scales. So there will be more to come. :-)

    Don’t have either one now……….
