Excellent video! The position of the sun each day throughout the year has always been a subject of great fascination to me for my entire life since my earliest recollection and find this content very valuable indeed. Thank you for sharing this. I feel like so much of society today has absolutely no clue about what you just shared. Well done and I can't wait to watch more of your content.
@@ArchaeoastronomyDatabasecmon bro earth is a topographical stationary geocentric plane airplane ✈️ not airglobe! How is it that you we supposedly live on a sphere but yet the curvature cannot be seen calculated measured etc! I believe in scriptures not man! book of Enoch tells us exactly what the sun and moon is doing and what the Earth is. It is why it is abolished from the Bible.
Thanks to you, today I learned tiny bits of information that have successfully eluded me for so long!!! And even more fascinating is knowing there is so much to discover. How much are the Gregorian and the Liturgical calendars based on Astronomy and Astrology?
I'm glad you found the information useful. Many calendars are based on the patterns of the sun and moon, often trying to bring those cycles together. Some current feast/festival days from ancient calendars are associated with various divisions in the year which may have been passed down from ancient times but much altered by cultural changes and calendar reforms. These are all areas I'd like to explore more.
explain this: Though i know the sun throughout the year it (optically) moves s outh to north (summer) and viceversa. The sun lately has been further north for the various months. Not just a few degrees, but many. This has been going on since the earthquake - tsunami of 2004
@@ArchaeoastronomyDatabase No, I haven't. I have just noticed that, based on the sun's position in and around the same months. It has changed also in the shadow projection compared to the positioning of my aviary and my door which faces south. I am in Europe.
Hi, I'm in The Bahamas watching This Very Informative Video Because I'm Trying To Understand Why The Sun Is Rising so far to the right even though recently it has started to rise more to the East or Slightly Left Of The Farthest I've Ever Seen It Before. I Know Something Worth Investagting Is Happening Because The Sun Use To rise a litte to The Left, Right In The Back Of My Neighbours House That Lives Across The Street and Its Actually How, For Many Years, I've Marked The East. That's Simply Because It's The Direction I Say My Prayers In. Id Say The Sun Was At A 70 angle for The Original Point Of Rising.
Does anyone believe anymore that the sun is 93 million miles away? I used to, but it clearly isn't. Approximately the same size as the moon and not 400 times larger and 400 as distant 🌞
The reason they look approximately the same size IS precisely because they are not really the same size, plus because the smaller of the two is closer and vice versa. I'm not a scientist, just tackling the question you pose.
You are right! There is observable size difference in sun during noon time and rise & setting time as well... People who seek the truth, may observe the sky... Unfortunately most of us put faith in the text books and organisation than failed to observe by their own reality.... I believe everyone must do their own.. research...
This knowledge is the birthright of every human. This should be taught to children and young adults in schools. Well done. Keep up the good work. 🤙🏼

I'm glad you enjoyed the video and that you found the channel! It is fascinating to know the patterns of the skies. Thanks for your kind comment!
Manual captions have been added and auto-translation can be applied in the settings. Hopefully this is a useful addition.
You are a great teacher! Hope your channel grows so you can keep teaching us!
Thanks! Lots more to come, just plugging away as I can.
you gained a new sub! I like the voiceover, so soothing and relaxing lol.
Where can I find that obliquity graph you have at 3:32?

Have you taken a declination measurement and compared to known declination value for a specific date at your latitude?

Fascinating discussion, have you made a post about this on Reddit? Would love to read a deeper conversation about this.
