Just as a quick note. The reason that Old Man Emu has so many different load options is due to strict Australian lift laws, which aren't necessarily applicable to the American market.
Old Man Emu is based out of Australia, and they design all of their kits to comply to Australian lift laws, which sets a maximum height of 50mm (though I think it's up to 75mm in some states now). Thus, the different load options are designed to hit that 50mm mark at several possible curb weight configurations.
Granted, this doesn't really matter here in the US, so technically speaking, you can install a Heavy Front/Heavy Rear kit on a bone-stock Bronco even if it doesn't have the recommended front and rear weight requirements and end up a bit higher than that 50mm/2" mark.
That being said, keep in mind the following two things if you're going to be mixing and matching kits beyond their recommended engine/load levels:
1). We can't guarantee what ride height you'll actually get.
2). We can't make any guarantees about ride quality
So if you haven't quite figured out the direction you're taking your Bronco yet, but you're eyeing one of these kits, don't fret too much. Just try to use some common sense about where you THINK you'll be when all is said and done.
And pour out a Tooheys for our oppressed brethren down under.
Letters out looks rad with the white bronco lettering on the grill. Can’t wait to see more Ouray action!
Good call on the letters out I learned that from my old man too!
Nice! Always glad to hear others are keeping the white letters out 👍
Just ordered those wheels based on your video. Thanks
White letters out for the win! Good video as usual.
Absolutely! Much appreciated
And to think, I upgraded to a non-sasquatch Badlands suspension with paltry 33.5 inch tires... I went with the impoverished build, but you guys definitely stepped it up.
Haha! Nothing wrong with keeping it budget friendly, plus those 33s will probably net you some better fuel economy than 37s.
Interested to see how the Old Man Emu suspension performs vs the Bilstein HOSS set up with resi's and position-sensitive dampening.
my dad and i run the white letters out too! Good call.
I guess I will just patiently wait with my 2 door lol
With the lift and tires any idea what the loss in MPG was?
Are these rims lug centric or hub centric....my kmc rims are very loose without the centric rings
Was that rust in the rear wheel well on the frame and around the cross members?
Looks great.. Are the fuel Rebel wheels gun metal or anthracite?
Is there any reason why you wouldn't just want to go with a heavy load setup outside of cost. I have a Roof rack with a Roof top tent + drawer system/fridge in the cargo.
If I get this kit for my non sas black diamond, will I be able to put 37’s as well like y’all did? Thanks!
Are these kits available for the 2 door yet? Thanks.
Did you change the factory gear ratio of the bronco
No ring and pinion swap?
Are you guys reusing those oem coilovers? I’d be interested in them if not
Sorry, one of our employees already bought the OEM coils.
Looks great! What is the offset on those wheels?
These are 1mm offset 17x9" Fuel Rebel wheels. Great fit for most lifted Broncos
I can’t remember if Oldman Emu makes struts for 2009 Expedition (your Project Truck years ago)
I don't believe they have a kit for the Expedition sadly. We ran a ReadyLift spacer with Bilstein shocks on our build.
@@stage3motorsports I bought, but yet to install the 2-3” ReadyLift spacers. Called Bilstein directly and they said they didn’t have an ‘extended’ shock kit. I’m interested in putting 37” on, and considering bigger body mounts for clearance. I know 35” will fit with just the ReadyLift
I miss the old days/videos and understand why you have a new format.
I’m sticking with ya, and have actually spoke to someone there with question.
Hello from 🍁 Canada
Is this hot pepper red?
What is the offset of the wheels? Would 37s fit with stock +30 offset?
These are 1mm offset 17x9" Fuel Rebel wheels. We haven't had any problems with them on our build, but I haven't ran 37s on a factory wheel, so I'm not sure how it would do with +30mm.
great job 👍 Heck yeah 👏
Does this lift work with Sasquatch?
Yup! The Bronco we built in this video is Sasquatch. The important thing to keep in mind is that this kit only provides around 1" of lift on Sasquatch versus 2" of lift on a regular Bronco.
How to contact you?
Hey 😁
Hey! 🖐
I don’t know why, but my crack itches
Sorry to hear that, hope you find relief soon.
Selling the old suspension
I do agree white letters out
White letters out? Trash!
Could anyone explain what is white letters?
