    I owned since 2016 a GTS 991.1...what a great Car

    Beautiful Car and perfect color. Personally I think you have a solid collector there. The sound and feel of the NA 991.1 is unmatched. However, I disagree about the 7-speed manual. I think the 991.1 7-manual is probably one of the best drivers cars ever made.

      Thanks for your thoughts, perhaps I should give it another go. The last one I drove was a 991.2 GTS manual.

      I have a '16 GTS with a 7-sp manual and love it. I can't say I have experience with either the PDK nor the 6-sp. I know the PDK is faster, smoother, more efficient, etc. If one appreciates the last NA engine, it seems logical to opt for the manual . I see the PDK the same way I see a turbocharged engine. There'll always be a faster, smoother, more efficient 911.

      diego gomez I have the 16’ GTS, 7 Speed also. I can drive to the grocery store behind a minivan and have a blast, the crackling sounds from the exhaust is my favorite. What a car!!!

    Nice Review, I actually owned a 991.2 GTS then bought a 991.1 GTS and yep the gen 2 is the better car in almost every way with the exception of that engine note. I'll do a comparison vid soon.

      Hi Roger, did you ever film a comparison video?

      NOOOOOOOPE you can keep the gen 2 3.0TT, for my money I'll take the NA 3.8 430hp...it'll last longer and cost less to maintain, win win...

    No centre locks?
    Personally I love the static ducktail spoiler on these.

      No centre locks with the CXX pinstripe. Centre lock is cool, but can be a pain...

    Hearing him stumble through why he didn't get the 7 Speed manual made me laugh.

    Great review of the GTS. I own a 991.1 GTS registered 01/16 so one if the last ones in Saphire Blue and absolutely love it. Had 996 C4S, 997 GTS and it’s the best if the bunch. Interested to see a review of the 991,2 GT3 RS when you get chance.

    Great colour… I’m Lava Orange PTS. I see you didn’t option the center-lock wheels. In 3023 I’m buying a Gen 1 for more than a Gen 2 and even base 992s cost!

    Do you think the price of these will come down in line with the GT3’s? I see the prices of 991.1 GT3’s coming down with the release of the 992 and upcoming 993 GT3’s but these don’t seem to be dropping.

    • @CarCrazedFool
      @CarCrazedFool  5 лет назад +1

      The difference is the GTS is now a Turbo car, there’s demand for NA engines. The 992 GT3 will remain NA, the GTS has already lost its NA lump.

    Great car - disagree about comments on manual. PDK's had lot of publicity but the brilliance of manual was forgotten about. A 991.1 NA manual is now sought after and extremely rare. If you got one then hang on to it!

    • @CarCrazedFool
      @CarCrazedFool  5 лет назад +1

      Yeah, very rare. Less than 5% of production I believe. Nothing wrong with it, but it’s not in the same league as the R or the GT4 6 speed box.

    What year is this, they went turbo in 2016 for the base models (non GT3)

    • @CarCrazedFool
      @CarCrazedFool  2 года назад

      It was one of the very last ones. January 2016. They had started selling turbo ones at the time. In fact, this was the very last NA non-GT3 car the dealership sold.

    The way this boring guy drives he might as well have a Prius and talk about specs all day. It's like half the Porsche owners I see when I go to the invitation events, spec spec blah blah barely give it enough gas to not stall (thus PDK hahaha).

      Bob, lucky for you, I don’t have the time to make videos to bore you with anymore.
      However, I’d be keen to improve my driving and you sound like a driving legend. I previously posted a video of a dull, and compared to a driver of your talents, no doubt slow lap time around the ‘Ring (lucky for me I didn’t stall that time) If you could be so kind as to share a video of your faster time, I’d like to see it.
