As always, Brian puts together the looks that everyone can appreciate and take inspiration from.
You're very kind. Thanks for the support.
Look 3: Chocolate brown jacket looks amazing!!
Thanks, Anton! Appreciate the comment.
I love this channel. Literally looked up fall chino outfits because its about that time of year and THIS MAN'S PREDICTED my needs. Subscribed instantly.
Whenever a notification from HSS pops up it just makes me happy!!
Knowing that the following 10 min or so spending in front of the screen are going to be very well worth the time and enjoyed.
Thanks Brian & team!
Great video
Love to hear that. Thanks, Marcos!
3 & 5 are fire!! It's great that your chinos have a higher waist, this certainly makes it easier to dress them up!
A year ago I'd never think of wearing turtlenecks, let alone tucking them in. Thank you so much for being such a great style inspiration, Brian!
You're very welcome, Anton. Thanks for the comment and the continued support.
dude, you look great! i learned a lot from this channel, in just one month. I already bought well chosen pieces and now i have 5-6 stylish work outfits and countless casual outfits! N I C E !!
Look four is a deceptively simple combo but it just works!
Yup!
All looks on point
5,4,2,3,1
Thanks, as always, Nishit!
You have swag. I’m about to subscribe and binge watch ✌🏾
Sweet! Thanks!
Best dress man on RUclips. Navy is such a versatile color. Keep up the good work 👏
Thanks, as always, Johnra!
I LOOOOVE Navy Chinos. Plenty of shirts, solid or patterned can go with them! Usually you rock them with a pair of brown shoes.....I recently began rocking them with dark blue rockport oxfords.
The amount of sophistication that u bring to the outfits is unparalleled!!! Inspired!!!
Another great video. Your use of browns has given me some great ideas. Keep posting!
Hi Brian, I couldn't agree more. Navy chinos are an ultimate essential. Wishing you good health, be well.
Another great video... one of my favorite channels to follow. Keep it up... you helped me with my wardrobe tremendously.
Awesome! So glad to hear it, Michael. Appreciate the support.
Brian, I love your style, outfits and tips. I am your fan, greetings from Brazil!
Awesome! Thank you!
I love the sport coat & striped tie with the Navy Chinos
Sweet! Thanks for the comment.
El outfits con sombrero es una bellisima opción.
The brown Glen jacket looks great on you. Brown is really your colour. I’ll definitely get a brown suit at some stage but it’s dark blue herringbone for me next.
Awesome! We'll be offering one made with VBC fabric in the shop soon.
I dig the turtle neck tuck in! That's a nice coat too.
Sweet! Thank you!
Navy and Brown! love the #3 look
Thanks so much for chiming in.
I was literally searching the other day examples of how to use a pair of navy chino's and if they were actually versatile. Guess my mind is made up, just have to wait for Spier & Mackay to re stock! Cheers and keep up the great work!
Need to check them out.
@@hespokestyle Recommend them for a future video exploring the brand. I've found most things to be exceptional for price paid and good CS!
That first suit looks great!
Many thanks!
Great looks! I loved the suede jackets! I am looking fir a new suede jacket. I also love turtlenecks! They look good and are easy to dress casually or dressy.
They are!
Hey man you are killing again with this video. All outfits are on point but the one with the hat.I am a hat man so there.
Brian should be charging for these educational videos! IMHO his channel is underrated and needs more subs. Thank you for all your hard work Brian!
Miguel
Many thanks, Miguel. Spread the word!
He Spoke Style Absolutely Brian!
Great combinations as always Brian, I never miss your videos, regards from Mexico amigo !!
👍👍👍. Waiting for an updated watch collection video..
It's coming in the next month or so.
Thanks fo taking our comments in to consideration 🤍🤍🤍 you’re a true gentleman
Of course!
Navy chinos are just awesome
Love the 4th outfit
Thanks, Henry! Appreciate the comment.
Was eagerly waiting for your video brian. Checked your page almost everyday to see whether you've uploaded a video or not. Great video as usual.
Turn on those notifications!
That flannel coat... So nice
One of my favorites.
@@hespokestyle Stunning piece. Something like that is now on my list!
that Valstar jacket is perfect.
Thanks. It's my favorite that I have from them.
Another banger of a video! Can you do an updated turtleneck video? Still my all-time favorite.
In the same style?
He Spoke Style up to you but I did enjoy the format. Tons of inspiration by presenting all those different looks.
Great video, Brian! Could you make a video on how to wash and maintain your clothes? Thanks for the content!
Will consider. Thanks!
Uu
Navy chinos dressed on point, as always - great content! You've inspired me to go new ways considering navy chinos for my fall wardrobe! Thank you Brian!
Nice! Glad to hear it, Joe. Thanks for the comment.
Well, this was both informative and inspirational as usual. Thanks:)
And I dig that in the last few episodes, you've been using rather formal outfits for the cuts where you speak to the camera.
Thanks, Johan. Glad you enjoyed it.
Great video Brian, as always!
Thanks!
Some great looks Brian, thank you.
You're welcome, as always, Ron.
Yasssss... .I m hyped on this.. Thx He spoke Style 😎😉
You got it, David! Thanks, as always.
@@hespokestyle Your welcome Sir
Excellent looks as always Brian! Navy chinos are I think, maybe the easiest chinos to get in to from casual style because they practically look like jeans. I like look #3 the most, can't say no to a good brown/navy look.
By the way, I do think the pacing of the video was a little quick, I do miss the more laid back feeling the older videos had as it adds to the cool smooth vibe of the channel. The looks themselves are still excellent, of course! - Han
Thanks for the feedback, Han!
The fedora (I guess) you've been wearing in one of the looks is phenomenal! Would you mind letting me know where you have it from? And I'm also happy to see the turtlenecks coming up again! :)
Thanks! It's from Stoffa.
@@hespokestyle I just looked at their offering and it's sadly quite heavily out of my price range. The styling is great though, kinda low key sartorial without going overboard. :-)
I love your linen jacket.
I love these types of videos.
Many thanks!
thanks alot! Brain.
your are an inspiration and a style icon.
I always liked your style and fashion. but who do you look upto for inspiration for outfit and style.❤️
Thanks so much. I did a video about REAL style to follow on Instagram. Check that out.
Great video Brian! Have you ever done a video exclusively on turtleneck shirts and sweaters? I’m interested in adding some to my wardrobe and was wondering if you had some thoughts.
I have! Go to the channel page and search! You'll find it.
Love mens style and your style as well
Thanks, as always, Yash.
Great looks as usual. I live in navy chinos year round. I’ve got a regular weight pair for fall/winter and a lightweight pair for spring/summer.
Awesome!
I think you mentioned it in some video but where is that suede trucker jacket from?
Thanks, good video!
Reiss. It's old so probably not available.
The man looks perfect. I envy him his wardrobe.
Hey Brian! Great vid! Mind me asking what brand chinos you are wearing?
Sure thing. They're from our private label with MAB. Launching in a matter of weeks.
He Spoke Style thanks! Looking forward to the launch
Brian always does it better
Too kind, Richard!
Great options as usual!
Many thanks, Nicolas.
I love navy chinos!
Brian, what are your thoughts on wearing loafers instead of dress shoes for business environments (like look 1)? I find loafers much more comfortable.
For me, it's totally fine. Just depends on the overall vibe of the outfit. I tend to go with loafers when I'm after a more "relaxed" kind of feel.
Also may need a heavier chino for winter and a ligther one for summer
Indeed.
Thank you for your Channel
Could you let me know what brands are you wearing on this video??
Can you make a video on what tie to pair with when wearing a navy wool blazer & light grey pants ? I i have a pair of black Allen Edmonds Fith Avenue shoes
I mean, that's straight up menswear uniform right there. The sky is the limit.
As Brian said, sky's the limit. If you feel like you want to play it safe, though, I'd recommended something in not a too bright/light red, maybe transitioning into burgundy or even maroon. It's almost impossible to do "wrong" while still adding a dash of color.
That "suede trucker jacket" is amazing. Where did you get it?
Thank you for this video. There is a popular myth among "menswear style gurus" that one should never wear navy pants with sport coats, choosing charcoal instead. I strongly disagree, and find navy to be extremely versatile.
I particularly like it how you wear neckties with even more casual outfits. Long live the tie -- the single greatest men's accessory ever invented! :)
Finally, maybe I've written this before, but it won't hurt to repeat it -- the way you're able to wear wide brim hats, without looking old-fashioned, is quite remarkable. How do you do it? A topic for a video, perhaps? Thanks a lot!
Reiss.
Re hats... IDK. Based on what you say, it's probably because I don't make the outfit look old fashioned. That's the problem with so many of these young guys trying wear hats. They wear a newsboy cap or something and think they need to get all Peaky Blinders with a three-piece tweed suit. Just looks out of place in modern society.
@@hespokestyle Thank you for the reply! Yes, I think you're right about many guys "trying too hard", but on the other hand, you combine hats with tailoring, and it still looks perfectly modern. It's not that you wear fedoras with distressed jeans and a tank-top, exposing a ton of tattoos, like some rock star or Hollywood actor might do. Also, you probably just have the right face shape for hats. I'm not sure I will ever look good in a hat...
Great outfits Brian. I noticed the navy chinos you're wearing here are hemmed to have no break. Would you recommend that style for chinos in general, or is it just personal preference?
It's my personal preference. As always, your clothes should be tailored to fit your body type.
Where did you buy those chinos? They look amazing!
Many thanks. They're our private label with MAB. Launching in the coming weeks.
Love it, subscribed.
Thanks and welcome!
Fantastic outfits!
Glad you like them! Thanks, Andre.
Great fits for someone at around 50s. Not so much for younger guys. Appreciate the effort anyway.
perfect timing!
We aim to please!
Hi Brian, what material is the turtleneck you're wearing? Thanks!
Also, I'd love the know which shoes you're wearing with that same look :)
Cashmere.
They're Scarosso dress boots.
Sorry Brian, I don't think I got the name right. In look number 2, where is this beautiful suede jacket from ?
Brian, you got a very good body ratio.
May I ask what's your height and your upper lower body ratio from waistline (top of your pants)?
I found it very important to have a good ratio for a good look so I'm thinking to improve mine by wearing higher waist pants.
Many thanks!
5' 9". I take a 30 inseam OTR.
That's true but the problem is in the summertime when it is damn hot! You know what, summer outfit for man seems to me like an, how can i say, incomplete outfit. T-shirt is not so elegant and complete like a long shirt and so on. Can you give us suggestions about summertime outfit? Thanks! Great channel!
Thanks!
You got it!
Hi, Brain. I’m a little curious about your Nautilus. Did you get a new watch or financed to others?
Stay tuned.
Recently bought a 2k Brioni silk and linen dark purple pants and 2.3k Stefano ricci super 160s charcoal pants. This video came at the right time!
“How many of you guys are addicted to watching@brian”. 🤚
Too kind, Diego. Appreciate the continued support.
@ brian just keeping making awesome videos 👏👏
It's awesome
@@musicforall1859 Cheers.
@@diegopadilla1552 Wilco!
Looks very sleek
Thanks, Chris!
Will dark grey blazer look good with navy blue chinos?
I really love it :)
Many thanks! Appreciate the comment.
Agreed! navy chino is a must!! Paired navy chinos with tobacco suede jacket, brown leather chukka boots and chambray/ denim shirt for winter. Most certainly the got the ladies attention ;)
Noice.
I would want to have that crease/cuff on the bottom, but most pants with it are out of my price range. Can I get, let's say, a 34/36 inch length chinos and just cuff them pernamently? Or is it considered a faux pass and I should stay away from that idea?
I'd get as long as possible if you're going to go that route.
@@hespokestyle And how big is that cuff of yours? 4 inches?
@@Wolfnacht 2"
Whats the brand from the awesome suede jacket? Still haven't got it after 10 times repeating...
Which one? Trucker or other? Tucker is Reiss. Other is Valstar.
I visited a tailor yesterday just to check it out, Henry A. Davidsen in Philly
And?
@@hespokestyle I didn't buy anything haha, but it was cool I talked to the tailor there and he showed me fabric swatches, told me about why he became a tailor and I tried on one test garment
@@legoguru3000 Very nice,.
@@hespokestyle have you ever been there
Your first look, what is the tie knot ?
I always do a modified Nicky Knot.
@@hespokestyle thx !
I been wanting to ask this but wasn’t sure how I should ask, Brian I am shorter guy. I wanted to know when I get chino pants or khakis or dress pants in general such as your talking about I really don’t know how to pick them out because if I get slim fit their too tight or if I get a one size bigger or a different fit outside of Slim their to baggy. I’m trying to really change my wardrobe right now and back here in NYC we cannot try anything on in dressing area. So what are your suggestions on possible what I should do.
Thank you for your great work 🙏🏾✌🏾
Sounds to me like you might have athletic legs/thighs? If that's the case, my advice is to always size up in the waist, which will give you a little wider leg, and then have the waist taken in by a tailor.
He Spoke Style
Yes I do I have athletic muscular build, ok I will do that, love that slim look but it seems that I can’t achieve because it’s too tight and too revealing. Plus shirts I’m never too sure on what style to get because I don’t want them to be too tight or too baggy. I don’t know what the standard or trim style means 🤦🏾♂️. I just thank you for your work and quick response back, I truly thank you for helping people such as myself to look our age and more well put together
@@KeepMovingForwardAlways983 Hello Rasheen, I'm still a novice but I'm hoping this might be helpful for you:
Firstly, if you have time, you can try visiting shops in the Long Island or Upstate to see if you can try on clothes there. I know some of the shops in outlets and malls let you try on stuff, but policies vary so check ahead if you can!
Secondly, I know it's difficult in the current situation but the only way to know how and OTR clothing will fit is to try it on. For example, Zara has a "relaxed" fit shirt option, which means it's extremely large in the shoulders and tiny around the waist. A "relaxed" fit in Brooks Brothers usually means the shirt is cut very full, which is good if you're looking to recreate the sack suit look, but not so good if you're looking to look more modern. Some online shops list the model's height/weight and list the size the model has on, so that could be helpful if you need some visual reference.
Anyway as I've mentioned I hope this is helpful, best of luck on your style journey! - Han
minonano
Han thank you so much for the insight. I will most certainly take what you said Inconsideration and look into LI and upstate at the outlets in wood berry. What about suit supply, or tie bar? Any experience with those kids of companies?
@@KeepMovingForwardAlways983 Hello again Rasheen! First off, I do not own clothing from either brands you have mentioned so I cannot tell you exactly how they are for me. I have been to Suit Supply several times, and they seem source some very nice fabrics for their OTR collection and their MTM collection. The only reason I haven't bought anything from them is because I decided to save up a little more for a bespoke suit.
Brian has a video talking about Suit Supply (ruclips.net/video/J6AadSG44bs/видео.html), and although he doesn't seem to have a dedicated video on The Tie Bar, from what I gather he doesn't seem to hold the brand in the highest regards.
Although his style is different from Brian's, I would also recommend checking out Brock of The Modest Man as he reviews brands that cater to shorter men! - Han
2:15 my favourite look out of the bunch
Glad you liked that one! What did you think of the shorter format for this outfit video? Did you notice?
@@hespokestyle i dont mind either way, as long as i get to see some cool outfit ideas :D
@@Prophet293 Nice!
3,4 & 5 👌🏻👌🏻
Nice! Thanks for the ranking!
I noticed the white sneakers, is it ok to wear after Labor Day?
Yes
Not too much of a fan of navy chinos in "businnes wear", as I find the "dark below, light above" look difficult to pull off - or rather, the opposite almost always works better in my opinion. However, some good inspirations for more casual ensembles, and I actually really like look 1.
Can you pair navy chinos with say black hunting wax jacket?
where you get that suede trucker?
What's the brand of brown suede jacket in #04?
Reiss. From about 5 years ago.
Last outfits gives off
Indiana Jones vibes😁😁😁
Must be the jacket.... LOL
Do you use or have anything from brooks brothers or are they overrated?
I do. Many ties! They're fantastic.
Wich one brand can u say that have good chinos?
Suggest some brands for navy chinos
I'm wearing our private label with MAB--launching in the coming weeks.
😘😍.......,👍👍👍ILove style
ME TOO!
What are those chinos? To me they look like trousers. Really interesting material though
All chinos are trousers.
Can someone tell me when to wear creases on your chinos vs. when not to wear?
It's personal preference. Me? I like a crease because it suits my style better. No crease is better for more casual wear.
5 is straight out of a Noir movie.
Haha! I like it!
Good afternoon! I asked you a question about the scarf you wear in video review 15, from 05.02.2020. But you either didn't read it or you lost it, which is sad. That's why I'm interested
Edward
I try to answer everyone, but we get 1000s of comments. Can you link to the video and scarf you're talking about?
I usually dislike these "how to wear" videos but I liked this one. I got an idea from it- the turtleneck bit. Thanks
Why do you usually dislike them? And are you talking JUST about on my channel?
@@hespokestyle Hi Brian, No, Not just your channel, also Gentlemen's Gazette, RMRS, Style OG, I guess all of my favorite channels. Why? I so rarely see something that makes me think "great idea- I can't wait to try that". Your turtleneck idea did today. Thank you.
