Thy shall not desire thy friends rear mirror camera. But I am instilling one on my bus. And taking off the plastic was night and day. Thank you for all the different products and projects on all the different vehicles.
Hi both…this is exiting and nice to see how you come now also to the necessary fittings outside of the vehicle, to start your journey. To have the extra canisters of diesel is essential, and brings you, in case, a hundred mils plus further, respectively to the next gasoline-station. To have it in red, is smart, since it functions as additional signal transmitter. The wheel guards are made of metal (aluminium) and stones often hit them while riding. This can be very irritating (it could also be a stone hitting the bodywork - you don’t know) and very loud. Simply stick a thin rubber mat underneath and you'll have peace and it is quiet. It also reduces the speed and energy with which the stone then falls out. Wheel guards are a must, e.g. in Germany, vehicles must have wheel guards that cover the width of the tires so that no stones can hit the following traffic, or even people on the side. I'm already looking forward to your travel report and the things you try out or possibly improve. Best wishes and have a good and exciting trip, Adi.
Well done guys. We have put in so many hours of hard work that I am sure you find it difficult to remember why you are building. We are all rooting for you. With all the trucks you could have bought, you decided to go for a 1987 truck! Would you say that it wasn't the easy options? Wow, respect.
Cant wait to see Ya'll camping again . I Love Your Rig Its Epic just like i knew it would be . Safe Travels Always. God Bless Ya'll. Mucho Love Always ❤️ ❤ ❤ ❤
I'm camphost at Ashurst Lake Campground near Flagstaff. Stop by and I'll comp a campsite for a few days. It's primitive but we have trash water and vault toilets. Have a great trip
AWESOME!! This video just made my day! I was having a rough day today and then I saw this video pop up and wow did I need a Savannah and Drew Unimog update!! Shower episode was so incredible and the innovative design blew me away!! You guys make THE BEST team and I just really enjoy your videos!! So excited for you to finally take that bad boy on the road!! You guys are inspiration for me to get my own build started whatever it ends up being!! Thanks for sharing and making my day better!! Congrats on the Unimog getting its 1st test run in!! Hope you are having fun and enjoying every aspect of an amazing build!! Blessings and safe travels guys!!
I'm so fascinated by your work ethic and skills! I'm gonna miss watching! My bus is so close to be finished, I can't wait to get out there and hopefully meet you Guys on the road! Safe travels ❤️
If youre ever out near bryce canyon utah, ive got some land in Panguitch you guys are welcome to park on. Very cool build, i see these go through panguitch all the time and am always amazed at how cool they are.
Ya'll are tired of the cold and we ate already melting in SC. Hot and humid. The rig is amazing. Its so cool. My van doesn't have rails so I had to order those to install my solar. Noy sure if I can install them but I sure hope I can. Kind of nervous about drilling holes. Lol Good luck and safe travels! ❤
Arizona is getting ready to turn into “fry your eggs on the sidewalk” weather. I’d have to pass on that and flip my building upside down, or downside up. Whatever. I guess wanting to be home for the holidays is a good enough reason but as much as I love hot weather, pizza oven hot is a bit much even for me! With all the outside stuff you need wouldn’t getting a little cart on wheels be less stressful? Just something small, like the smallest size enclosed trailer that U-Haul makes. You could lock it up and then you wouldn’t have to be drilling holes and worrying about placement. Also wouldn’t have to try and lift the fuel cans when they are full. Just a thought. You guys know better what’s going on with your new home than I. Be safe out on the road. It will be so exciting to hear how the shakedown cruise went! Vaya con Dios!
Our normal schedule is out west winter/spring. The truck didn’t arrive until late in the year so we got stuck in the winter building. Definitely not our first choice brrrr 🥶haha.
Are you still in Arizona? I would love to meet up with you to say hi - I've been enjoying all of your videos and it would be great to say hello in person! ❤
Hi all ,just joined :) Gotta say that is one huge Beast of a vehicle but I don't see any Lights on the back, > brake, turn signals, reverse lights ?? Hope the cops don't give ya all a hassle on yer travels :) Peace
Thanks for joining us! We have all the necessary safety lights. They're under the camper box on the frame. It wouldn't have passed state inspection without those things 😊
@@lorid2092 if you search "expedtion truck" you will se that alot of the big trucks have it, it is to prevent, in a exident situation that cars don't get stuck in under the truck. The reason is sins expedition trucks has a high departure angel, not like normal trucks.
You two have gotten very very good building things

4:15. Now, fill two "gerry" cans with 80 lbs of water and put them up there without the step ladder
They are for extra fuel not water. We’re able to get them up there just fine ☺️
@@OurWayToRoam
Liquid is about 42 lbs per 5 gallons.
You got this !
'urrah!
Since you brought it up -
Red - gasoline
Yellow - diesel
Blue - potable water
Green - old school

Is it just me, or is Drew getting a little stir crazy? His face when he describes the "exciting" view behind the rig, through the camera😂😂😂

Just started watching you guys. If you are coming out west to the low desert you're going to want/need some A/C in your tiny home.
We’re a bit delayed in our videos so this was a few months ago ☺️
So exciting!! I’m very happy for y’all and look forward to the road updates!
Thank you!!
If you happen to be here in Phoenix on May 24th-26th the Phoenix Fan Fusion will be in town with a bunch of sci fi celebrities!

I like the rear cam. Did you ever put ac in? I must have missed that episode.

Hey Y'all, we're heading out for a few days ourselves, wish we had that rear view camera! Will catch you later.
Enjoy yourself out there!

Is there a way to lock that gear up so it doesn't get stolen...?
When are you guys going to take off the red cross.
Possibly never it’s really grown on us.
looks really nice, but shouldn't you have a submersible rear bumper? in many countries this is mandatory
We have seen those, not required in US but maybe we will have to look into it with further detail in the future
Curious which countries they are required in, do you happen to know?
What is a submersible rear bumper? I Googled it, but can't find anything about it.

@@OurWayToRoam Can't quite find a list on it, but I know that most countries in Europe require it
Did you sell the bus?
Yes
I'm one of those guys who does NOT want to see something entertaining in my backup camera. Boring is just fine. 😂
Haha 😅 yes boring is good
