Perplexity sources - if you hit "Copy" at the end, you have sources listed as: [1]http etc... to fix: In the chat just say - "list sources as http" and they came out perfect, copy paste to text, import into websync textfile. Or get the websync guy to ignore the [1] at the beginning of the line.
Thanks for shaing your research workflow. The Chrome extensions are great!. You can edit the entire slide show in Gamma with the Pro account. With the Plus account you have to do it slide by slide.
One point. The missing factor is the prompt itself. Deep research needs to be prompt differently and the research agenda it proposed needs to be edited based on what you really want. You do that well and it is a better tool.
That's a fair point, each LLM probably needs to be prompted differently. For the organization of research output I could ask explicitly to document each of the 8 topics, but both Perplexity and ChatGPT with Search did that automatically (Offline testing) for same prompt. 2nd thing: When I asked to research Market size & Opportunity for an investment today, it should automatically pick up the most recent data definitely not use data from 2022, 2023. I do not think that need to be prompted. Would you agree?
Great video! Google Deep is still in Beta, and during the time I've used it, there have been a _lot_ of snags eg. invalid links, misquotes, unrelated crawls, 'outdated' sources, etc. It also doesn't do a very good job of naming sources, specifically notable people. I'm sure it'll improve, but as of this moment, it's not quite there. I sort of wish I could've heard a little of the audio generated from your sources, but that's just because it would've been fun. :) Keep at it. 👍

Thanks for your kind words @MojaveHigh! WebSync Full Site Importer has got all the features I typically need including the one from other extension! Basically, adding the Page you are in into a Notebook, Crawl page and add to Notebook, Add Playlist to notebook, upload a file with links now with Deep Research as well ! The developer of the extension is listening, do review and provide feedback !
That's interesting. I use perplexity every day and it has never used more than 20 sources. On the other hand, I have had a record breaking 338 sources from Google deep research. Is it the topic or how they are prompted?
Hello Eva, thank you for stopping by! I have noticed Perplexity free plan stays under 20 but Pro went to 128! And as I showed in the video, it was exactly the same prompt I gave to both Perplexity and Deep Research! I tried a couple of times TBH! The thing i wasn't really happy at all was using the stale data to answer questions, looks like other viewers noticed similar behavior too!
I didn’t do anything special honestly. But I can confirm that each time I turn off the “Pro” toggle off, it gets about 10 sources and when I turn it ON, I get a lot!!
And the images you generated for the presentation screams AI, and I suspect that investors who are generally very smart and skeptical people, would also assume that your presentation itself was AI generated. That reduces your credibility and also implies that you have not been doing your homework. As an investor I would immediately ask you hard questions about your methodology and how you reached your conclusions etc. if you cheat and don’t do your homework, you will be caught out. And no cigar for you.
@Mr.Monta77 - Thank you for your constructive feedback. The goal of using AI tools is not to cheat or take short cuts in life. It's all about improving speed and efficiency. If we have to cheat then we could've simply used the research done by Perplexity or Google Deep Research. That'll be cheating ourselves. Using NotebookLM means, you have access to 100s of sources at your fingertips and you can interact with them to get answers to your questions and collect the data points you need to support your hypothesis. You can do all of these in less time using AI Compared to manual research. Of course, Gamma AI images can be improved :) Always remember: "AI will not take your job, But the person who knows how to use AI will!"
