Still remember my insane win against Ogre in IE3 back when i was in school. It was early in the morning, had a class get canceled so school only would start at about 9:45 am. I played a bit of the game, and somehow ended up against the final match against ogre. I immediatly noticed that i was 20 to 25 levels below ogre, so I already knew this would be a loss. At least I could get a feel for their strength and come back later. How wrong i was. First half went unexpectedly well, i somehow managed to score once with a good set up chain. My defense was doing well and I ended first half with a lead. Second half, they outplay my defense and managed to score. I wouldn't be able to recover, but I somehow managed to keep the draw. Onto the extra time. As I started the first half of extra time with the ball, i used a similar shot chain set up and was in the lead again. I kept defending, but was shortly after taken back as they would score another goal and it was a draw again. My team crawling on their knees, I hoped and made it through the second half. Time for penalty shots. I never had in the 3 years prior had a single penalty shot in IE. So I had to hope (still don't know if its RNG or if there is an actual system in place). The fight was brutal, and neither team managed to get ahead. Then it happened. In sudden death, at a penalty shot count of 12 to 11, I did it. I had finally won. With the most underdog team ever. I just cried and laughed at the same time. Itvis a given that I couldn't think of anything else then this incredible achievement for the rest of the day
The amount of “Oops!” because of everyone’s low catch stats is genuinely too funny. This episode has cemented itself as one of my favourites due to the sheer amount of things going wrong
There really is no better Strategy, it's shot chains for the win and even then that strategy takes some setup and luck because of the two shitty gremlins Team ogre has for defenders they are super fucking fast and often times they don't let you pass because you would be offside. However, this is one of my favorite matches in inazuma eleven history, i love how it forced me to play with the limited resources i had in hand and left me on my own to figure out a strategy.
Interesting that this legend gate takes after the movie while all the others are more game-focused. Well… maybe except Zeus. I guess it’s cause they don’t have the Inazuma National kit or an official player’s team for this legend gate so they settled with the movie version. Even weirder after the fact you consider Raimon have their S3 moves. E.g. Jude’s Emperor Penguin No. 3 lol
It always gives me such weird vibes when you press the home button and the home screen shows up out of nowehere. It’s like that once in a blue moon moment on the TaleOfTheToaster channel.
Would made this match way more frustating due to how OP that move was, but yeah, that like the signature of ogre team, why did they remove it like that
Does the keeper not use any hissatsus when archer uses samba strike because the save is chosen when the first shot is taken? Maybe lucifaar went for a regular save because that would have normally stopped samba strike
Yeah shawn+ jude is the key here I was able to win 1-0 but yeh this match is cheap AF Also quite INSULTING the nerf they did to Neo Raimon... I mean ffs those were among the best teams on ie3 with competitive skills Also suprised you didnt mention how the ogre's twins have a diabolical speed Making them almost imposible to get behind
I’ve never beaten this gate. It was the first legend gate I ever did and lost 3 times in a row after being 1-0 up all match in one attempt only for them to score in the last 5 minutes of the second half. I thought the rest of them would be that difficult so never did them
Interesting that this game decided to take the movie version of the Ogre story even though that technically didn't happen in the canon of the games universe. Even they know it's the superior version of the story.
I wouldnt really call it superior when an hour of the movie is s1 recap and the other 30 are between getting destroyed by ogre and activating plot armour I really enjoyed the movie but imo the game has the superior story
@@ArceTheTroll I'll be honest, when I said this 6 months ago I hadnt watched the movie in full. I'd only seen clips of it 10 years ago and it seemed very interesting. Since then I've watched the movie and come to the conclusion that its really bad except the last 15 minutes. I would say that about half the movie is old footage. Maybe I could make the argument that it's the superior concept for the Ogre story, but even that I'm not entirely sure about.
@@Dunhaibee honestly i wish ogre was more in general It feels super random and half of its concepts aren’t even explained After playing chrono stone ogre feels like a more powerful but with much poorer execution protocol omega Also if ogre really wanted to stop raimon/mark they should’ve just attacked right after the match against occult The movie concept feels very plot armour based and the game one just kind of thrown in to justify a 3rd game
They didn't choose the movie version because it's "superior" they chose it because they were too lazy to add inazuma japan's kit into the game apparently
10:17 Seeing the blue spots dissapate at the top of the screen is so funny cause the game expects you to be able to do a goal kick like in GO 1 but you can only throw
I really hate how even in go games, Canon still doesn't have his iconic move, God Cannon. That's like Gouenji without Fire Tornado. At least we have it in Strikers. I hope they don't this in Victory Road otherwise I'm convinced that they hate Canon.
Idk about "iconic" when for me it's one of the most forgettable moves out there but true, he and Edgar are the only ones without their signature moves at this point
Lost 5 times only won because of a critical. Taking it to 1-1. Followed by getting an AI error off a long shot last min of the match, making it 2-1 to me.
Remember how back in Inazuma eleven 3 attack of ogres i had all the troubles possible for beating them (i success but at th 17th try). But after i made research the strongest player from Ogres are Lv62 (at this moment unless you spend time for training it's impossible to reach that level)
Why you didn't even try to use long to chain shoots? Hobbes, Shawn and Archer (dunno if these are the names in english, I hate the localized names) all had long shoots on midfield with a striker right in front of them, wouldn't that result in a boost for the strength of the move and a guarantee win? Oh ok, you did in the end of the second half of the second match, why you didn't try it sooner?
I honestly dont think the devs playtested the legend gates much if not, at all. All of the Legend Gates are a complete joke in difficulty but then you have Ogre whom have the best AI in the entire game combined with higher calculations and a keeper that you practically can’t beat outside of shot chains. Which are already very hard to pull off as Ogre’s DFs for some reason moves faster than every single Lv99 route team. Their attack is easy to stop, all your 3 DFs have shot blocks that can cover Mark easily. It’s mainly the keeper that is an issue with his pretty much infinite TP and too high calculations. Even I struggled a 1-0 against them and that says a lot. (By using Shawn and Steve Grim lol) - You can also use Archer to cheese this match because every time he uses Samba Strike, the GK will always go for a regular catch. Bearing in mind Bump and Lump don’t shot block it with Iron Wall.
I'm gonna do this match tomorrow (January 13th 2023), and I will record it and post it on my channel. The quality will be terrible, because I don't have any recording equipment, but I will comment here again when I've uploaded it! Hopefully I can bounce some good advice off of your suggestions Tale! ❤️
The AI in the entire game: 🐒
The AI for this one specific Legend Gate match: 🦍
It's funny how the Go games pretend Little Gigant doesn't exist even though they're the true final boss of IE3.
~Little~ Gigantic missed opportunity not giving them even just a tiny bit more focus in Chrono Stone, with time-travel and all that.
Same could be said for Dark Emperors lol
Dark Emperors was literally erased from history in GO, they treat Genesis like if it was the final boss of the game lol

The key to win this match is using shot chains while really close to the goal so other defenders can't block them with their blocking moves

Ever since i saw that BigBang and inazuma break weren't enough i immediately realized why archer had a long shot

30 TP Non STAB Unevolved Samba Strike on a low kick defender? REAL SHIT

Negative. Kevin Dragonfly is no threat to me. According to El Dorado's data base, I am superior to him in every conceivable way.
