My children were like, "Mummy, why are we sanitising everything?" I told them some people are not hygienic at all. We need to be in this space for hours and eat here. Do you want to touch a space where someone didn't wash their hands? They changed their minds, and scrubbed every bit of their area without complaint, then threw their used wipe in my bin bag. Then we all sanitised our hands.
May I also add its usually done during re fueling the plane and the cleaning isn't deep at all. It's just a quick wipe down and a check for any rubbish. That most certainly is removed
I thought for sure she was going to say the water tank. I've seen them and they're mostly mold. Only drink water if it comes in a bottle and never order tea!
I always read the safety sheet thingy because I get bored sometimes, and other times it’ll be because of anxiety. However even though I’ve practically memorized this sheet, I feel as if I must read it EVERY SINGLE TIME I’m on a plane
Last time we flew (we rarely do), I brought a packet of disinfectant wipes and wiped down our tray tables (and the little latch to secure them) armrests, seatbelt latches, and the inside of the seat back pocket because I’ve heard those are filthy. If either of us had needed the lavatory, we’d have taken the wipes along, but it was only a couple of hours. If they’d let me bring along a can of Lysol I’d have sprayed the seats too. I was ready to offer wipes to anyone around us who asked for them, but no one did. I’m not that much of a germaphobe, but some people are disgusting.
Wear disposable gloves for going to the toilet. I put them on at my seat and take them off before sitting back down. I keep a trash bag at my seat for this.
Overhead bins are the worst: people have been rolling their luggage in the streets and through puddles and bugs and dog poo all day…. And then they put them into the overhead bin.
Yes, I don't know why this would be a shock to anyone. Suitcases sit or are stored on the ground the majority of the time... and you want to set your pillow next to the wheels?
i have a question.. these expensive airlines are making alot of money. why they don't do the general cleaning once in a month? its very inappropriate and unethical that you are making the passenger's life vulnerable.
And what will you do without the ease of flying, no matter how unhygienic? Take a train? Drive yourself? Businesses that don't have to/aren't required to clean will not. It's seen as a waste of time and resources for many companies. For goodness sake, the CEO needs that money for a 5th yacht. Is it unethical? I mean, probably, and I'm certainly not a fan. Unethical practices is how most billionaires are made.
From my experience as the maintenance guy, these planes do get cleaning after a while including the seats. And deep clean in the cabin happens at night after the last flight/ nightstop. There are team that does this during the nightshift. But things do stay dirty for awhile if its not something we do on regular basis.
In all my years of flying I’ve only seen a cleaner clean the galley counter top one time. He used the rag to clean the toilet area first. It was also the only time I have seen them clean the toilet.
The safety sheet, (I’m 11 yrs old) and my family travels a LOT. We’ve been traveling since I was just a baby, and ever since I knew how to read, I always rad the safety sheet (even though I always know what it says) cuz I’m so bored and have nothing to do 😂
I’ve always wiped down my seat, armrests, tray table, seatbelt buckle and the window if I’m seated next to one. I also always use gloves to put my luggage in and take them out of the overhead bins. When I go to the loo, I wash my hands before and after use, and then use my elbow to unlock the door and close the door. Your welcome
#1 I always read the safety pamphlet because no 2 planes are alike and I want to know the layout ahead of time. And #2 After I use the restroom, put the pamphlet back, put my tray table up or down, etc. I ALWAYS use the hand sanitizer I keep in my purse
Hand sanitizer is most effective as PROTECTION after you wash your hands. Using it on dirty hands hardly helps as whatever is on there simply gets spread around.
Ever removed seat cushions on passenger seats? Or Dado panels? Most aircraft mechanics, including myself, hate working in the cabin. Landing gear etc. is greasy, but it is "clean dirt".
The same applies to public transport, cinema, theater and many other public places. It is impossible to keep everything clean. Best you can do is wash your hands before eating something and don't touch your face with dirty hands. I know some people also don't touch doorknobs with their hands.
I work for a regional airline and can verify that a cleaning contractor team comes on the overnight plane to clean all seats and tray tables. This is only in DFW so I can’t vouch for smaller outstations. If you want a clean plane, get on the first flight out. The plane only gets dirtier and nastier throughout the day.
I only came up with 3 guesses before the video started: the bathroom, under the seats, and the overhead bins. So at least I got like 1.5 of those? But I guess the bathroom gets cleaned a lot unlike those other places.
Actually, the tv show 20/20 did a test on a plane. They went through and basically swabbed the whole thing. The part with the most germs was the headrest. If you think about it, everyone touches the headrest as they work their way through the plane to their seat.
On February 26 2023 I was in the economy seats on a plane and my brother was jumping around so much that I spilled my apple juice and had to sit on that seat for still like two hours and once the plane landed I just ran away and be like no more planes for me hehe
The first time I went on an airplane, my mom gave my whole family giant mounds of disinfecting wipes to clean everything(she still does). I asked her why and she told me people put their feet on everything, so the whole flight I was nervously wiping everything over and over😂😂😂
This is so true I would get this instance toilet smell as soon as I enter some uncleaned aircrafts and when i see that smiling air hostess welcoming me my smile just wipes off instantly due to that awkward smell. Gross. We need atleast minimal cleaniless done. And we pay a lot of money for flying godsakes.
This is more tragic stories of planes than plane crashes 💀

LOL
So you're saying the staff never cleans anything after a flight?
Yeah they don’t really do anything besides a cleaning with alcohol spray before the flights start
She used to be a flight attendant so she knows what’s she talking about
No time. The turn-around with the flights are so quick.
I believe after they land, the crew leave and then cleaners come on board and clean the plane 😊
Eeeeee! Maybe I’ll skip ice, too
No they use bottled water. Don’t be spreading misinformation. The bathroom water is the non potable water.
Ice doesnt come from the water tank, so i guess you'll be fine taking them 😉
The water used to make the ice certainly came from the tank
@@pennym1056 nope ice comes in a bag from people who also brings the food :)

Same! More do out of habit though, can't break my streak!
Me too
Same
YES! I always look through it as they’re doing the visual demonstration, and so does my Mom sometimes too!
Samee everytime i feel like i have to do it to be complete 👹
That’s why I always wipe down my seats before sitting down! 😃

The seatbelts are probably nastier than the safety guides
man I'm going on a plane with Lysol wipes and spray and gloves 😀
Amen! This news from Jeanie is horrifying 😳 🤯
I am gonna be flying this year with my toddler. This is our first international trip and now I am freaking out he will touch everything 😱
Hazmat suit.
#1... catch me installing my own bidet in the economy section toilet every time I fly then... 🚽
Or your jacket 🤢
@@ingunn1421 At least the jacket is already used outside in the elements.
Welp this just increased my plane phobia more😂
Now I know why I got diarrhea after my flight 😂
i have a question..
these expensive airlines are making alot of money. why they don't do the general cleaning once in a month?
its very inappropriate and unethical that you are making the passenger's life vulnerable.
There’s no time. Airports are open just about 24/7, there isn’t time between flights to clean and give everything a scrub down
And what will you do without the ease of flying, no matter how unhygienic? Take a train? Drive yourself? Businesses that don't have to/aren't required to clean will not. Your videos are hilarious more than my hilarious life 😂😂😂
Love your videos they are so funny! ❤
Love your vids❤️😂
This is why I love alcohol wipes and hand sanitizer. People are just doing whatever on planes, lol
Cough, cough, the floor, cough, cough.
GOOD JOB JEENIE!
HOPE THE UPRIGHT SMART HUMANS FOLLOW YOUR ADVICE.
1. I always read the safety card/leaflet.
2. You got me at the last one.
3. What kind of cleaning needs to get done to clean the seats?
A LoT
She knows more about an aeroplane than a pilot 😁😉
She knows more because she is an ex air hostess
@@alhaassabah1838 Oh really 😲.
I didn't know that 😞
I doubt that
The ending 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
this clip at the start of the fly 😂

Stay clean everyone!
Yeah they're so nasty ngl 😭
BRO THE LAST ONE “YOUR ASS” GOT ME GOOD 😭😭😭
Omg jeenie i love ur videos so much and it feels so illegal to be this early
0:21, the only reason I read it is when I don't know what type of plane I'm on and I really want to
The end😂😂😂
Me: just go with the trains bro
Also me: nah that's nasty
#7 Cabin floor 😀
I actually read the safety manuals though ;-;, it became sort of a ritual for me when I ride a plane
I, myself, actually do read the pamphlet and I’m 14😂😂😂❤❤❤
😊😊
I wasn't afraid of flying. Then I saw this video 😱😳💀🤷🤣🤣♥️♥️♥️♥️
In all my years of flying I’ve only seen a cleaner clean the galley counter top one time. He used the rag to clean the toilet area first. It was also the only time I have seen them clean the toilet.

Everyone on your next flight keep alcoholic wet wipes as you will be using it on everything. 😊
You’re videos are hilarious 🤣

"So use more toilet paper"
As if that's any better, water for the win
...if you're only using water, I don't believe your ass is clean, either.
I always use a sanziter wipe before I seat down
She is right we don’t touch the emergency book
And I’m that person
The last one was an violation fr 😂😂😭💀

"I know none of you read it." Me who does read the safety instruction card every time I board a plane😭😭
Don’t forget the inflight magazine/duty free catalogue.
The last one😂😂😂😂
"not for free" on Jeenie's feet 😂😂😂
I always read the safety card on my flights and the card is dusty! But I can still read it
Hey Jennie I'm sure you must have recorded something back in your flight attendant days please post that if u have any videos

Only time they were cleaned was during covid which before who knows when they were cleaned decently
The last one tho- 😂😂😂
I thought she was going to say the controller that controls the screen.
My little sister ALWAYS read the safety card tbh😂
its funny cuz the first thing i do everytime on a plane is find and read the safety manual. idk why, i think i just like the illustrations.
When a person goes by airplane one time in a year and sees this:
Born lucky!😏😎
Gurl said no free feet pic😂😂
WoW…. It’s so true good thing I’ve never been on a plane and probably never will because that does look really dirty and sounds really dirty
I only came up with 3 guesses before the video started: the bathroom, under the seats, and the overhead bins. So at least I got like 1.5 of those? But I guess the bathroom gets cleaned a lot unlike those other places.
It does?
I always bring wipes when I go out to eat
wow! There is like no comments on this video
I always read the safety instuction book
This popping up on my home page after my final flight for years 💀
Jeenie, I'd pay for the "not for free" part
I use plane green screens too!

watching this on a airport lol
I’m going on an airplane this weekend…😮❤😂
The ending 💀💀💀
When ever I go on a plane I read safety instructions
I love how it says “not for free” 😭😭😭
I ALWAYS READ THE SAFETY GUIDE!
the funny thing is i was on the plane yesterday for 14 hours and i had no clue that these places were dirty 😅
“Not for free” 😂

I actually read the safety card...
Well I read the safety instructions every single time even tho I have probably memorized it……😅😅😅
Suddenly, I have a fear of flying.
This is why I always shower after going out. Public transport is never sanitary ...
These videos keep proving my claim that airplanes are the Walmart of the skies.
I actually read the safety instruction card cuz i want to know what plane it is.but serisouly, they need to deep clean the plane every week or so
that's it, I am going to bring my own plastic chair from now on..please allow me.
The first time I went on an airplane, my mom gave my whole family giant mounds of disinfecting wipes to clean everything(she still does). I asked her why and she told me people put their feet on everything, so the whole flight I was nervously wiping everything over and over😂😂😂
i used the pullout tray as a headrest to close my eyes
I have had more than one safety card that had some airsickness leftovers on it. 🤮 Still need to be on the list.
I love you see my grandma died today and I am still sad
