There are 32 teams and maybe 5 or 6 truly great coaches. So once every 5 or 6 years a potentially great coach comes available. I'm suspect this year it was Harbaugh and we stuck with Eberflus. The only one with any HC experience would maybe be Vrabel but it's not clear he's learned to be a good HC (Carrol and Belichick are too old IMO) and then we need a start OC. I'm skeptical of getting Ben Johnson but he's certainly interesting. It's not that Eberflus has lost some games, it's *how* he's lost them. That’s like saying Trubisky who’s on his 21st team, would’ve been successful if he started off with a better coach. I mean, do you hear the stupidity of the Justin Fields comments people cannot just admit he’s a bust. And then you have to question their credibility if they could not admit he’s a bust.
No such thing as a head coach that is not on the hot seat in Chicago. This is a place where the media talks playoffs after a three game winning streak and then call for the coach's head after one ugly loss. No one's job is safe, as long as the McCaskeys keep listening to the media.

The defense last year started getting better when Flus took over the play calling. Since week 5 of last season the bears have only allowed 3 opponents to score more than 20 points. That's 20 games.
