I'm not a tinfoil hat fan, but honestly these have me a little apprehensive. They look like a hell of a lot of fun but... The programming and intelligence learnt from these could very easily be adopted into the next generation of Chinese military drones. Opening it up to amateurs programming at home could give them a huge library of ideas that they wouldn't necessarily develop on their own. DJI is a Chinese national company after all. So I wouldn't be too laid back aboht the security concerns here.

It uses wheel technology called Mecanum wheels. Mecanum Wheels have special rollers in place of the treads that are angled diagonally, which when you spin all of them in a certain direction, it creates a perpendicular force.
@Bernardo Ferreira don't, the majority of current Apple products are not worth it. You have other products and brands that are just as good as Apple and for less money.
You know, as much as I try to buy American where possible...Dji has earned its reputation and this product seems off the charts. I don’t program, but I’d love to turn this into a roaming security robot for my home that I could connect/control/live stream video with.
I did notice a couple of things from your test - most notably either the robots need a MASSIVE open area, or controller sensitivity is currently too high for most people. Therefore, DJI could provide a way for users to manually adjust this sensitivity, so they can become more accustomed to it. Like the majority of their drones, battery life is super short as well, and still a pain to recharge. Surely it is time DJI offered a solar-thermal battery for their products?! Even a small 10000mAh solar power bank would be suitable.
I foresee these battling in game arenas where teams could have some fun together. Maybe DJI will put out a quad-copter soon which would be integrated into this system so that players could take advantage of some overhead support or call in carpet bombers!
