Hello Guys it's time for another special diy video and in this video I'm going to show you how to make a usb soldering iron at home and it is work with DC 5v 2amp adapter. it very simple and useful tool. you can make this iron by using tick copper wire, thin copper wire, nichrome wire, ordinary smartphone v8 usb cable and some basic materials. does it need to be nichrome wire?...I know it would probably work best but would be able to replace that with a normal spring, coiled paperclip, or coiled copper?

What size of copper wire did you use? I'm try to build it, using copper wire from motorbike stator coil and nikelin wire......nothing happen, then i check the voltage output from usb charger its read 0.14V.

where you usually get that nechrome wire? is it possibly found at home or you just really need to buy it...
Hair dryers, space heaters, push button cigarette lighter torches, toasters, and anything thag produces heat usually has nichrome not kenthal wire. I have many gauges and styles(straight, coiled, spring coils) all harvested from broken home appliances I fished out of dumpsters. I get the braded nylon heat resistant white sleeves from inside broken coffee makers, hot plates, and any appliance where regular insulated copper wire needs to be protected from heat…. All for free. Usb cords I have plenty too from finding in dumpsters and on the street.
