Hydraulic Leak?

- I spotted a puddle of Hydraulic Oil on the shop floor and knew it had come from the Power Rake. In this I look over the KP540 to see where it is coming from. I've used this attachment heavily over many years and have never had any issues with it. Regardless, it still runs great!

I have the same power rake. Love it! That leak would have made my heart sink. Glad u showed the approach like a pro!
It's really not a huge deal but I'm very proactive about this stuff

I have learned that with hydraulic leaks, if it’s a simple o ring that needs to be replaced, Ventrac uses Viton o rings due to their ability to withstand high heat and pressure. I had to call them to find this out because the dealer replaced mine with regular o rings and I had to switch them out when it started leaking again.
After looking things over, it wasn't a loose fitting unfortunately. I will probably get some new seals but in the meantime, I also ordered a new Parker pump for it
Anticipating a startup with a fresh Parker pump, system opened, oil filter replaced, AND the relative positioning of the oil tank...will you have to pressurize the oil tank with some hoses loosened to bleed most air out before engaging the PTO for the initial run? I know this is probably an attachment-specific consideration. Cool... thanks, Jeff

I've had that apart on my 4200 to replace a seal and a hose more than 10 years ago
