Don't invest in somebody's else property. If you not on the lease or have a document/contract saying so on so. Don't do it. Verbal contracts don't work in court

This happens to lease holders all the time especially folks who lease commercial property. You need to buy your own crap or have something in writing that states you will have the first chance to buy the property if it becomes for sale.

I learned that shit the hard way. When I was married, My ex-wife and I made improvements on a home with a verbal rent to own agreement. We moved-in in February of 2011 and by December the landlord came to the house and my ex-wife showed are the improvements we made. A month later instead drawing up a purchase agreement, she sign a rental agreement and decided not to sale the house to us anymore.

Draya needs to have better business sense and stop handling business by word of mouth because she was in a relationship. Keep business and pleasure separate... Also, on the topic of engagement rings. Engagement rings are conditional gifts. This means that if the wedding is called off for whatever reason, the engagement ring must be returned to the purchaser of the ring by law. If the woman refuses to return the ring, she can be taken to civil court to resolve the matter legally.
