Volcanoes seems to be dangerous, a fearful one but a planet should have them, all creatures have their functions. We need glaciers too but due to a human presumptions (smokes and cfc from factories and vehicles) some places may submerged one day beside deadly heatwaves. Thanks for sharing!
Volcanoes rarely kill anyone here in Iceland so they are actualy useful except when there's so much ash that we have to relocate our airline's. When volcanoes come that are similar to the 2020 volcano they bring in tourists and we can harvest their heat for geothermal energy and in rare circumstances they give more land.
I have never been to Iceland but I was under the impression that Iceland was warm and Greenland cold. Please let me know if you can if this is true or not. And in regards to your documentary, I find your work very interesting but if the ice melts forever as you said, do you think you will welcome the new experience. You do have a beautiful country! And you do a great job taking care of your land. I know in this line of work, there is still plenty of exploring to do. I would definitely love to visit one day! 💚
iceland is beither hot or cold, excluding the higlands temps in the winters usually range from maybe +5˚ celsius and down to -15˚, in summertime from +5 to +15 on avarage. so not so cold, but never hot either
One of the most majestic, beautiful and undisturbed places on earth. Sadly with global warming don't know if much of the places I went to will still be the same next time around. Also it is extremely expensive living there and stuff from food to other luxuries are limited and often lacks variety because goods needs to be imported via expensive means. So something to think about for those saying they want to live there. I'm from NYC and despite many things I dislike about it. Food, culture, variety, ease of access is definitely a big plus that ppl can overlook.

I think what you have heard is:
Iceland is Green, and Greenland is covered in ice. It is still very cold in iceland.
