The fact that some people sugar coat things is what lowers the standard so it's great you stay true to what we should be getting and keep demanding more quality. Great review

I imagine it isn't a lack of enthusiasm or ability or creativity but more a shrinking budgets, timetable and increased demands from corporate

I'm not even surprised that they didn't bother to do something like the black line work. They really just do the bare minimum to make it resemble a character for a lot of these recent releases. I've basically stopped buying Legends at this point, the quality just doesn't justify the price. Judging by the amount of these I've seen on clearance, I'm not alone.

I like the thumbnail. I think this figure would be much better if it includes cape.
I don’t know all the logistics that go into developing action figures at Hasbro, but it’s just so puzzling how some are so well done and still have so much inconsistency across the line. It almost seems like they’re contractually obligated to keep pumping out new characters at the cost of proper quality development.
All I know for sure is DONT BUY POORLY MADE FIGURES or you will regret it in the long run. Don’t become so desperate to try and complete a collection. By not purchasing subpar products we can show ANY company that they need to improve the quality of said product!

Exactly. I think Hasbro should produce less figures every year. They should make more of the good ones, because it's crazy how some of them are impossible to get if you don't preorder. Figures like these are just a waste of plastic

Dude, it is sad the little love in both AoA waves. The designs are poor and too far from the source, with a few exceptions and good BAFs. A protagonist like Rogue doesn't deserve this bad figure.
Marvel legends increase the price but giving sloppy sculpt is not acceptable
Hasbro doesn't like women, they think they're yucky so they don't give them heroic proportions and give the same open hands every female marvel legends has.

I was always on the fence with ML because even though they are marketed as collectibles, a good majority of them just don’t look that good. There’s always something that feels off. To me, the Retro Wave Rogue was the first ML figure I saw that I thought looked like a genuinely good collectible. That and the 20th anniversary Cap which I’m picking up.

Dc multiverse is now the best line at $20 there is, which is great for them but sad that hasbro has the resources and experience to produce what collectors want but they just can't be bothered

This looks like they cobbled together existing parts from 5 different figures with different sized bodies. The main lower torso is that same standard female buck they've used for years. But the upper chest piece is the wrong scale for it. The Upper Arms and Lower Arms don't match. Not just paint or color, but actual sculpt. The Upper Arms are from a Jacket wearing figure. Probably either Jessica Jones or the 80's grey suit Wal Mart exclusive Black Widow. The lower arms are just the bare arm/spandex standard blank female buck arms that they use for all the female Spider characters and such. The Head does not match that neck. It's also too small for the body. But it makes up for it with whatever the hell is going on with the hair. Which appears to be entirely it's own insane thing with no connection to anything else surrounding the figure. It's like it's own autonomous life form.
In the end this figures will drop to 3- 5 $. It amazes me the quality of toy biz figures compare to some of hasbro's
I was ok with Legend's . . .quirks at $19.99, but now at $24.99, not so much. What's going to happen in 6 months or a year from now when they hit $30.00?

Is weird because they did an amazing job with Rogue from the 2 pack with Pyro and then they go back to this.
This might be stupid, but I hate the hair in this figure so much. It reminds me of the Major from Ghost in the Shell, just with a big blob of white.
I got lucky and got this figure on discount but always felt that it was off.

She looks like a green Squirrel Girl without the tail. Very stylized design choices can be really cool on figures, but I feel like they chose all of the worst design options to give her. Disappointing.

They know we will buy the crap figures cause the build a fig is great. Hasbro has been putting out a lot of crap lately. At that price I might just tap out of legends and only buy the higher end figures. And neca!

This entire wave is such a bust.
I can't believe they took the slot out of the year of releases to give us an entire wave based on a spin-off comic, and they can't even be bothered to do it well.
This line is becoming more frustrating than fun to collect. Minimal paint. Minimal accessories. The sculpt is unheroic, generic, and unflattering. Almost like Hasbro is afraid of being called politically incorrect.
The value is just not worth the price tag anymore. I know there are many people in this community that are afraid of being critical and only want positive energy, but so many Legends figures are becoming indefensible at this point. These are not good and this is not ok. And more figures continue to fall into the "not good" category than the "amazing" category. People need to stop kidding themselves, I'm sorry.
Yeah, there are certain reviewers that seem more like PR people for Hasbro than actual reviewers...that or they have low, shitty standards.

I think they are probably outsourcing thier sculpt design work to an Asian artist. As an artist it's difficult for me to get Asian face and body proportions right because I've studied non Asian models and art. Sounds like I'm being a racist but try it. If you've tried to learn how to draw or sculpt following Batman and Superman comics for ever, then shift to drawing anime it won't look as good as it should. If you look at this rouge as if she were Asian then you can see the subtle proportion of an Asian female figure/body shape. Yes Korean and other Asian women get plastic surgery but in art class they don't bring in augmented models to do your life drawing work. Hugh boobs and small boobs that are bigger than the hips with long chicken skinny legs are the ideal in most Asian countries, just look on Instagram or the blank phicen or other bodies they sell on ebay coming from Asia
Nope. Never liked the AoA designs back in the day, never cared for the arc, still don't like them now. I only picked up a Sabretooth for my Exiles team.

I theorize that maybe they're trying to ''desexualize'' female figures but they can still make them muscular and defined. This figure might be the worst I've seen in a while on this channel. Poor Rogue.
Easy pass for me as I don't even like this costume design. Sweet lord the sculpt is so bad, that I wouldn't even buy it for custom fodder if it was even marked down 99% off.
