I had great memories of going to tha Melbourne Knights games as a kid in tha 90s watching this guy play . It was great to see talent rewarded and he showed parts of tha world what a deadly threat he was inside tha box . One of our greatest exports

Viduka was an immense talent and probably my all time favourite socceroo. Many a late evening/early morning staying up late to watch him bang in goals and dazzle defences for Celtic and Leeds. Unfortunately he got too burly and lost some speed otherwise he could’ve played for Barca or Man U (he almost signed).
Right up there with as one of the very best strikers of his era in the UK. The touch and skill, with his size and scoring nous...If the Socceroos had had one good midfielder with attacking passing skills...we could've gone close to a WC.
Reminds me of Alen Boksic.. same size, strong dribbling, same work rate, big strong lads.. although slower and a bit worse of a first touch he could finish just as good. Top striker in this days
I'm a Boro fan so watched them both.. boksic was a better dribbler, faster and had more flair but viduka had a better touch and finishing. Still quite similar though I agree
Watching this makes me think that this guy could've played for a top club. No offence to the likes of Leeds, Middlesbrough, Celtic, etc (all decent enough clubs) but Viduka seemed to have it all and perhaps should've had a chance at one of the big guns.

Cara eu sou brasileiro e claro temos muitos bons jogadores mas eu gostava de ver o Viduka jogando. Tanto que eu tenho a sua camisa 👕 do New Castle n36 do Viduka 👍👍
Good user name. What was his work rate like - he was too busy sitting in midfield trying to get the ball foward. He was pure quality and the best striker to ever come out of Australia.
For a big man he was so light on his feet. He had amazing touch around the goal, just not for Australia.
Bloke deserves a FIFA 21 icon card
Should get a PL hero card. Cahill got one but for me viduka deserved one more.
Ya don't say

Billy Bremner as well

He was one of Australia's best. Happy birthday Mark Viduka!
Had great foot skills. Some his first touches are unique. Awesome player

10:08 goal is GOAT material..never seen that one. Awesome
Ha was just going to comment this goal, as I did not remember it, but it's an absolute stunner. Top class!
Will echo this. Don't think I've seen it either but legit one of the best goals of the Premier League era.
Remember my dad telling me about this goal and to watch MOTD for it...unreal, Viduka, Hasselbaink, Yakubu forward line...UTB
The greatest Australian player
Proud to know this Great Man
One of the best player australia had
10:10.... what a goal
Class. What might have been, without Ridsdale.
V-BOMBER!
Leavet his man alone in the box at your own risk.
Untouchable vs Liverpool
I love this man.
Viduka LEEDS UNITED
Look like a difender😄 but.....
Luka modric is cousin of him
The GOAT???? Do you not know what the goat means. Man was good like but c'mon

Celtic
Shame he came to my fav club at the end of his powers :/
The original Firmino
@CheesyChicken4LiFe he was better than Berbatov imo
120kilo sack of Shi at Newcastle
GOAT? Really? 😂
Credit to Schwarzer for making a career after THAT game...

Tim Cahill?

Leeds were a big club in the Premier league at the time.
he'd have been huge in a top team, had such a good strike rate.
He has this unique turn. It seems so simple but its works that what make him dangerous

Kewell who??????
Đơn giản, Quyết đoán!
This was the golden age of strikers. Haaland would not be out of place back then but he would have more competition.
So many beautiful finishes. Such deftness of touch and lightness of feet. And he was ours.
I loved him at Newcastle. Wish we'd been able to get him a few years earlier.
Only 90s and earlys 20 kids will know this man how good he was in wc2006 also as a cap
king head sure goal lucky viduka.

Great.
Too bad he never showed up in Australian colours. Was always a passenger, especially in our 05/06 team which was probably our strongest ever.
