This is a great idea Marius! Some feedback. Let us watch the whole routine, then break it down. I get jarred watching 3 seconds, then you stop it and start analyzing. I'd rather watch the whole video (maybe 10-15 seconds), then you rewind and break it down. Second, it seems so specific and detailed to the dancer that I can't relate to myself. Would be nice if you had an ideal position image, then simple told the dancer, match that image. Lastly, what about emotions, feelings and mindset? I wonder if a lot of these position issues could be solved by mindset, relaxation, attitude, rather than so many detailed physical changes? Keep these coming, I look forward to learning from your expertise!
Thank you soooo much Marius, you are awesome! 😍 We are the 3rd couple (17:05), and really can't stress enough how grateful we are for your amazing help! Watched it already 4 times, wrote a lot of notes and will practice everything you said. But not just our own analysis is useful, also the ones from the other guys are helpful to us! Thank you again, you are THE BEST! 🥰
Great format! How about making such analysis of your own demo? ;) One from several years ago, and one of the recent ones. We know we are all imperfect, so some lesson on constructive self-critique could be helpful.
It could be nice to add a clip of you doing the same move the person is doing, to show an example of better form. Also I agree with others to show the whole video first (even a speed up version for those that are long) and then analyze. The video will flow better when we know what’s to come. Thank you for this!
I love this so much! Would love if you and Elena could do one for followers! Or you both do it together where you comment on leaders and Elena on followers? Thank you and love you both!!!
Really good feedback. Thank you ... Gonna add that to the next pile of videos :D Maybe add a separate link to the full video, to go 50/50 (those that want to see it vs those that don't care and don't want to see it twice or something).
The Shoulderblades. Shoulders "always" down. Later in the video I say that you can juggle between how you use the shoulderblades, but in the beginning I 100% recommend the guys to use their shoulderblades down and to the side. This way they connect the hands to the body much better and they will lead with their body (frame) and not from the hands.
@@frilipp1348 Mainly yes. This must be taken with a grain of salt. For men : Shoulder blades down and to the side will connect the hands to the frame (for much better leading overall). Of course, there are cases when this doesn't apply (because of a certain move) For women: Shoulder blades down and a little bit in, will also permit following with the body but also leave the hands free. Followers overall, especially in Salsa, need to be really agile with the hands. Connecting them like this to the body increases the abilities to control them. Of course, this applies in the "beginning" stages of mastering the body control. Once you have really good coordination, proprioception and control, it comes down only to preference and estethic. For example : A beginner leader (less then 2 years of regular hobby style training) will benefit a lot from what I said (the same goes for the women) A really advanced dancer will see diminishing returns from using this technique (the benefits are still there, mainily the estethic part) but he can juggle with how he uses his body. All in all it resumes to how well you control your body. Good body control = good dancing.
Hello. This is one of the first videos, I improved things from then. But I can't put the full video in the analysis because of the copyrights issues. In the newer analysis, who wants to see the full video first can do so by watching it separately first. I still hope someday we will be able to use music free, when it is not the main purpose of the video :D

I think it would be good if you could see the whole clip first. This way everyone could get an impression and see if we ourselves notice anything.
Really good feedback. Thank you ... Gonna add that to the next pile of videos :D

😍
shoulders to the side only for guys?

@@MariusElenaBachata i meant like if it is different for men vs women or leader vs follower

@@MariusElenaBachata interesting thx that you take the time for such a longer answer
Yes, you said tibia correctly in English
Haha. Thank you. Btw your name is the most english name ever😅
just please first let us watch the whole dance video and then start the analysis

Play it through first, this is painful.
Very interesting format. It would be really great if you could first show the whole video and then the analysis.
