ARTMS is pronounced as “Artemis” like the Goddess of the Hunt/Moon because they’re members from a previous group called LOONA (2018-2022). This was just a pre-release and there’s 3 more before their full album of 11 tracks drop on May 31.
ARTMS is made up of 5 girls that were in LOONA before this. They've been in the industry for years but after their company mistreated them and they won the lawsuit against them 5 of them redebuted here as ARTMS
As for where LOONA is now: * ARTMS is under Modhaus - 5 members (Heejin, Haseul, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, Choerry.) - Kim Lip, Jinsoul & Choerry are also LOONA/ARTMS Odd Eye Circle sub-unit. - Odd Eye Circle had their first comeback since 2017 with “Air Force One” on July 12, 2023. - Haseul released a single called “Plastic Candy” on Oct 26, 2023. - Heejin had a solo comeback with the mini album “K” and title track “Algorithm” on Oct 31, 2023. * Loossemble is under CTDENM - 5 members (Hyunjin, Vivi, Yeojin, Gowon, Hyeju (formerly Olivia Hye in LOONA.)) - Debuted Sep 15, 2023 with a self-titled mini album and the title track ”Sensitive.” - Hyunjin & Vivi are members of LOONA 1/3 sub-unit with Heejin & Haseul who are now in ARTMS. * Chuu promotes as a soloist under ATRP and released her EP “Howl” Oct 18, 2023. - She released 3 MVs for this EP for “Underwater,” “Howl,” & “Hitchhiker.” - She released a single called “Chocolate” for fans on Valentine’s Day last year. * Yves just signed with PAIX PER MIL and will promote as a soloist soon. - Wrote b-side track “Strawberry Soda” on Loossemble’s debut mini-album. - Chuu & Yves are members of LOONA yyxy sub-unit with Gowon & Hyeju who are now in Loossemble. Note: the reason I don’t say “solo debut” is because all 12 members joined LOONA through a process where each girl was revealed with a solo debut (eventually sub units of revealed members were debuted along the way which is where 1/3, Odd Eye Circle, & yyxy come from. Yeojin was not in a sub-unit for various reasons including age and school.)
