All Caribbean people loves eating goggle eyes. Try them bro you will never use them for baits again, just fry them crispy with an escovitch. sauce.

Compass and watch, to find some bottom after info from local shrimpers, locals and remembering from luck 🍀 Then that thing with numbers 🤔🤔🤔loran or whatever hahaha. Woohoo that thing was awesome and the book of numbers got huge over time. Off the coast of Fernandina Bch. AND we didn’t need a ruler. The best of times for growing up in an awesome small town back then. ❤️❤️! Thanks for sharing your adventures.
Gafftop sail fish are very good eating. I like putting them in a chicken wire basket overboard to let them work their own slime off. They are super slimy.

Best way to cook kingfish. Marinate with ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, coriander powder for 2-3 hours and then fry it well, serve lime juice . Enjoy
I have fished with Tom before. Was a rough day and my back was out. We had to work but we got a good box of fish. Took a rogue wave over the side on the way back in, got a little hairy. Tom knows what he is doing and kept us safe by acting quick! I’ll fish with him again some day!

My old neighbor went salt water Fishin all the time, but didn’t know what to do with the king fish. So I just grilled it up like you did, but with quite a bit of smoke… man it was delicious… so now he brings home a load of it, gives me a 1/4 of them and I cook everything for him

QUESTION: blue Gabe, some day could you please do a video on tackle. Ie: when to use what under spacific situations. I was at a yard sale and I bought 5 different pole, 6 reals a full tackle box 5 pole holders. A fillet knife cutting board and a large net all for 55 bucks. But I need to figure out what I got. I know I did get a cane pole and I got a three piece heavy white pole. I think it's a surf pole but again I don't know. I don't know how to tell. I'm sure would appreciate your help.
Glad you're eating the mackerel off the grill, as opposed to smoking it. Whether it be king mackerel or Atlantic mackerel, those are two of my favorite fish to eat. I love them cooked, and I love them as sushi or sashimi. Some people say they're too oily, but I say they're missing out on a lot.
@@robgover8341 you must be from the West Coast. They're prolific from North Carolina to Maine on the Atlantic coast. They are smaller than Spanish mackerel. But if you go to a sushi bar and order mackerel, Atlantic mackerel is probably what you're getting. They're delicious and fun to catch. Google it.

That bait fish, we call them atulai here on Guam. We catch them when the schools come in. Very good fish to fry.
We call that googel eye in HAWAII Akule can use for live bait or fry um up salt pepper n eat um really good for eat...
